Landry looks bad already today. I'm a little concerned about the effectiveness of this defense, and I think we saw some of it during the preseason.

The busted play with ARE certainly annoyed me because there's no reason to run it. But it was the play calling after that that really bothered me. The coaches gave up on that drive with a draw and a screen to Cooley.

Looks like the same D-Coord formula that took the Skins to 2-6 the last 8 games of last year... Double Moss, stack Portis and block down cooley at the line.
Zorn had the whole offseason to solve this..

If Skins are down 17-0 by half.. Zorn should shake it up by putting in Collins who went 20 yards per completion against the Giants secondary a year and half ago in the last Skins victory against the Gints.

Let's see. I said special teams and the o-line would determine the game. Chaulk up seven for the teams, and the o-line has performed very well. So why are our heroes down by 10?

1- That #1 draft pick for next year hasn't been put in the defensive backfield, namely CB. I knew 'LOS would not play and that HALL and SMOOT would let us down.

2- Too much time and an unawareness of onrushing linemen. CAMPBELL puts the ball on the ground instead of moving in the pocket. The day of the statuesque q-back is gone. I am right there with SNYDER and CERRATO - now. I see what they were driving at. I was willing to give JASON the benefit of the doubt, but he's asking the o-line to hold out d-lineman too long. Decisions, decisions, decisions, made too slow. And I don't think it will improve much.

3- Coaching. Keep going to the well until you get burned. Where's the back-up when ARE and COOLEY are covered? Where's KELLY or MITCHELL? Lets put some pressure on those d-backs with some striders with height like the G-men are doing to our CB's.
