Whoever had the idea to cut time into the slices we call years, was a clever person. He industrialized hope, letting hope carry us even at the limit of exhaustion.

Twelve months (or a 16 game season) is enough for any human being to be worn down and start to give up.

But here comes the miracle of renovation when everything starts afresh, with a new number (or offseason) and renewed belief that from now on everything will be different.

I think everyone pretty much buys into the whole "players-don't-fit-the-scheme" diagnosis that they offer.

This, of course, goes back to Vinny Cerrato's atrocious management/leadership skills. It's not an issue of whether Cerrato could identify "talent", which he can, and which is what you would expect from a life-long scout/personnel guy. The question was whether Cerrato could communicate with/develop a coaching staff, keep people on the same page, lead a team effort to build the organization, learn how to defer to others in the right circumstance - which he clearly could not.

One thing I strongly disagree with in the article is the fawning and salivating over Carlos Rogers. We've been watching the guy get abused in coverage again and again, we watch him give up TDs, and they paint him as the most talented DB on the team who is misunderstood and marginalized. Puhlease.

Could someone explain this to me..

How iz it possible that we get the number 3 pick if cle, KC, N Bucs win N we lose how do we get ahead of the Bucs if we beat them earlier dis year??

Zorn will win a super bowl as a head coach. Probably not with the Redskins, but with some GM that can put together a team.

Why have the Redskins gone 6-17 since starting out 6-2 with coach Zorn? Cerrato didn't listen to the coaching staff with regard to the urgency of fixing the OL.

What QB in the league, hence offense, would do well when the QB is limited to three step drops? If you watch the last game, Campbell rarely had more than 2-3 seconds before the defense was on top of him.

Fix the OL and this team is a major contender.
