R. Thomas Out with Triceps Injury
Redskins right guard Randy Thomas injured his right triceps and is out for the remainder of the game. He will be replaced by Will Montgomery, a third-year player from Virginia Tech.
Thomas had neck surgery in the offseason, and his health was one of the reasons the Redskins felt good about their first-team offensive line going into the season. Montgomery is in his first season with the Redskins.

I think we can all agree that Mike Shanahan would have batted that touchdown pass away, Bill Cowher would have caught the deflection and lateraled to Mike Holmgren who would have sprinted into the endzone for a pick six.

No wonder teams can't wait to play the Skins. With Campbell under center, all the opposing team has to do is score a touchdown or two. Campbell has nice stats (sometimes) but can't get his team a score. Not a leader, not a good quarterback. Bench him and get someone else in there.

Posted by: jiacinto | September 20, 2009 2:13 PM | Report abuse
The ruling earlier that there is no penalty for pass interference since the ball was not catchable has never made any sense to me.
It should not be the QB's responsibility to figure out whether his receiver is covered legally or illegally. If a receiver is covered then the QB should not throw it to him, period.
It makes absolutely no sense that a defender can illegally interfere with a receiver thus causing the QB to throw it away.
Make sense to anyone else?
