Rabach Not Looking Good/Springs Likely Playing
Shawn flew back from Dallas last night and reported to Redskins Park, today. He was there for meetings and is participating ina wlak-through as I write this, according to people in the know. He was upgraded to probable and is expected to play, though given that he missed all week Fred Smoot - who has been rotating with Shawn- would not be a surprise should he start.
Have not talked to Shawn recently, and can only hope he's hanging in there as best as could possibly be expected given all that is going on with his father.
Casey Rabach's workout today did not go as well as hoped. He was downgraded to questionable with his groin strain and barring a reversal of fortune duirng warmups Sunday - with another night of rest - Mike Pucillo will play in his place. Stephon Heyer has been unable to do much as well, and with him hurting tackle Kevin Sampson, signed to the practice squad Tuesday, was signed to the active roster Saturday.
Reserve Cody Boyd was released to make room for Sampson - Boyd has not played for the team yet and could be re-signed to the practice squad or active roster next week, assuming he clairs waivers as expected.
