Recast Your Vote

You've had nearly a week to think about that earlier vote you cast on today's Eagles-Redskins game. In the interim, the Ravens-Cowboys result last night has had implications, ramifications and amplifications. You should vote again, even though that generally is frowned upon in America.

Of course, you can also vote here, if you're so inclined.

I'm a newspaper fan. i WANT newspapers to survive. But I'm not gonna be part of these stupid poles because-call me old fashioend--but I think good reporting, not gimkicky reader-involved "surveys" will save newspapers.

Or wait a minute...are advertisers REALLy that dumb?

Anyway, Iggles in a rout. This team has quit. (Not all, but most.)

Bad leadership tends to lead to that.

Speaking about revoting, how the hell did London Fletcher not make the pro bowl again?

I want better from our players but can accept if the worst he does is polish his friggin shoes, Cotton Mather.+++

Now I'm a puritan?

My wife would sure debate that with you! :)

Perhaps base behavior was a bit dramatic, but I'm not impressed with the "look at me" attitude of any of the players of today. Where's the TEAM in that?

sure lsskins, in a perfect world all RBs would condyuct themselves with the class of Barry Sanders and WRs like Art Monk. But get real, this is the 21st Centuryt. If that's the worst Moss does, I'm OK with it. He doesn't get arrested, he doesn't make outlandish TO-like comments. He produces. I say give him a break.

I think that Moss is the best player on the team. However, there is still no excuse to pull that stunt given that the team was down by at least two touchdowns and hanging by a thin rope. Why did he choose that moment to go do something that stupid? I do not think that it was a coincidence that it was the same week Portis trashes the coach. It is not like Moss has been a scoring machine this season either. At least Moss apologized for his action, which is a lot more than could be said for Portis. When the stars of the team start to lose their class then there is a much deeper problem with the organization. The last point I see in that incident is that once the Redskins fans where near unaminous in their love of the team and saved their negative feelings for the owner. Now there are players on this team that have created rifts among the fans, not for their production, but for their attitude. All the goodwill that the team itself has built up is starting to erode--and that is never a good thing.

Cindy, actually the Dallas game really didn't affect our playoff chances. We needed ATL and TB to lose out regardless. If either wins a game, we're out.

Danny and Vinnie make it hard to root for the Redskins, driley.

That's about all one needs to say about their management of the team.

Idiot. Just kidding. Moron. OK, kidding too but I think you are wrong. I was at the game last week. I do not think they quit. You think Cooley gave up, hence his fumble? No, just bad luck/mental mistake. And Sellers, you think he wasn't giving it all he had to score?

Look, Cincy may only have 2 wins byt they've been trneding upward the last month while we trend down. They should've beaten the Eagles. Almost beat NYG/DAL. This was not a mismatch/awful loss/tank job.

Cork, if you're so sure of a blowout, how about we put a little action on the game? Give me say 7 points?

Snidely Owl and Vinnie the Hamster running the Redskins is like watching the continuing saga on the "The Office". Might as well be in Scranton, PA. They are without a doubt Bush-leaguers ... pun definitely intended.

The Ravens have some really great players on defense ... and a great defense. With Sean Taylor still among the living ours would be right up there if not better ... damned it seems like we are cursed since the day Snidely Owl, Rockville's Dannah Montana decided to own and run this team. Sigh ...

Notorious,

On the Moss penalty, I agree that I don't understand why it led to a $10,000 fine, but that's Moss's problem. I do understand, though, that it was an open-shut violation of the "celebration" rule, and he knew before he did it that it would draw a 15-yard penalty and hurt the 'Skins at a time when they were struggling to make a comeback. I don't get it.

I realize Moss's contribution to the team over the years, but to me that little look-at-me-I-scored display was unforgivable. It would be like a man exposing himself at his sister's wedding. "He's been such a good brother all these years that he's entitled to one little faux pas."

Riggins talked about Portis and Moss this week on Redskins Report and said "You can't win with people like that." That might be a bit harsh but, to me, there is something seriously wrong with the culture of a team whose two best offensive players are acting the way they have during the last two weeks. And I don't think many coaches would tolerate it as passively as Zorn has.

LMAO!!! Riggo is way off. Too far to the old school side of the pendulum. But yes, it was not coolwhat he did. I get that. To bascially say we need to get rid of them, they are not winners - absurd. Portis is a gamer's gamer, a man's man. Moss is still a legit #1 WR (if only we'd get JC some protection and open up the playbook...)

Someone has to explain to me how Dallas losing last night REALLY helps us other than give us immense joy. There is NO WAY we get into the playoffs unless TB/ATL lose out and we win out...run the scenarios, think about it - DAL and PHI play the final week, and both are ahead of us after this week EVEN IF we beat Philly...the only way we get in is if both wildcards come from the NFC East like last yr. Am I wrong? I think not.

I'd say that's pretty much it.

By the way, do you think Danny and Vinnie have even the hint of a glimpse of the perception of the obvious: lack of attention to our offensive line doomed our season?

humor me: if SD beats TB (currently 17-7 and getting worse) Skins beat Philly and Min beats Atl. what would be the wild card senario?

Yes. Unlike many up here, I don't think they're stupid. And, I don't think they like losing.

I think they knew before the season that it was possible the O line wouldn't hold up. They also thought that the guys they took in the second round would deliver more than they have.

They gambled and they/we lost.

I'd rather vote on the level of annoyance on display in last night's Ravens/Cowboys game.

How many people noticed how hard it was for Warren Sapp and Sterling Sharpe to swallow-- Jenna Jamison-style-- the "Yea, let's go Dallas!" pablum Rich Eisen spewed.

How many dead/retired Cowboys did the NFL Network un-earth to put us to sleep with highlights of the Cowboys losing another Super Bowl to the Steelers from 35 years ago?

Which network is way too pro-Dallas Cowboys? NFL Network or ESPN?

Vote: did the Ravens win or prove the Cowgirls are massively over-rated?

There's a certain Louis XIV flavor to that interpretation (Après moi, le déluge), TE.

Did they think these players were going to win the Super Bowl, and then we could spend the next few years rebuilding the line?

It's not like another year older (and deeper and debt) is a good way to run a football franchise.

Anyone drunk yet? Anyone still think the Skins will make the playoffs? Fun Vinny Cerrato draft fact that no one on here has talked about yet. Cindy Boren please comment. The Skins drafted punter Durant Brooks in the 6th round, we cut him. The Broncos punter Brett Kern who went undrafted, is avg. 47 yards a punt. That's 5th in the NFL. Kern had a better punt average then Brooks in the 2007 college season. Anyone still wonder why the Skins only have a prayers chance at making the playoffs.

If the Skins had a real GM, we'd have a good strong offensive line, like the Titans and Ravens do. Oh well, I hope everyone in the NFC playoff chase loses and the Skins win there last 2 games. Yeah and I hope Vinny Cerrato will get canned and Danny Snyder will give 100% control to a real football guy. Kickoff, go Skins!!
