Redskins Learn They Set NFL Record

Redskins QBs have not thrown an INT in 309 attempts dating back to last season (when Todd Collins was starting), an NFL record according to the Elias Sports Bureau.
The team actually set the record a few weeks back; the former mark was 281 by the 2001 Oakland Raiders.

This is not an individual mark, or a single-seasoon mark, as it spans multiple passers and mutliple seasons. The Redskins contacted Elias to gain clarification on the record, and received word today.

Starter Jason Campbell has yet to throw an INT in 179 attempts this season.

So what's the individual passer record for most attempts without an INT? That would've been nice to know Jasno.

If I had to guess, I'd say Redskins 27, Browns 20

Cork's weekly 2nd rounders prediction:

3 catches for 76 and a TD for Thomas.

2 catches for 22 for Davis

0 catches and a bag of ice for Kelly.

One of these weeks I"ll be right.

Posted by: mofass79 | October 19, 2008 4:25 PM | Report abuse

Bah!

Posted by: mofass79 | October 19, 2008 4:26 PM | Report abuse

So they get a net of 15 yards with the punt.

Why not try the 53-yarder and try to make something?

I suspect it was against the wind, and would have been 52 yd. I thought they might try for a first down.

Keep pounding CP

Posted by: frediefritz | October 19, 2008 4:35 PM | Report abuse

Posted by: mofass79 | October 19, 2008 4:38 PM | Report abuse

Posted by: mofass79 | October 19, 2008 4:40 PM | Report abuse

Well, like I said last night, this new punter just "coincidentally played at Seattle in 06 and 07, was already cut this year and was averaging a 30 yard net.

He didn't pin them deep even though he had the wind in his face, and now he punts very short.

Posted by: RedskinRay1 | October 19, 2008 4:41 PM | Report abuse

Thank god we held em

We'll find out now about JC. Looks like he might have pulled a hammy a little.

Posted by: frediefritz | October 19, 2008 4:42 PM | Report abuse

Anderson is looking like hot garbage, thank goodness. Cleveland's punter is the MVP right now. Time to get the ball to Moss.

Posted by: ga8085 | October 19, 2008 4:43 PM | Report abuse

Doc just reported on 980 that JC told him he is alright.

1st punt landed on 2 yd line. So that was a good punt. And at least the 2nd one was high enough to have good coverage.

Posted by: frediefritz | October 19, 2008 4:45 PM | Report abuse

Where's my Fred Davis fly Pattern TD off PA?

Posted by: Realness1 | October 19, 2008 4:45 PM | Report abuse

We're playing russian roulette with this field position.

Posted by: mofass79 | October 19, 2008 4:46 PM | Report abuse

This punter is worse!!

Posted by: ga8085 | October 19, 2008 4:46 PM | Report abuse

Posted by: Realness1 | October 19, 2008 4:47 PM | Report abuse

Posted by: Alan4 | October 19, 2008 4:47 PM | Report abuse

This offense will never go anywhere if it's afraid to take deep chances. The Skins HAVE to open this thing up more.

Posted by: CDon | October 19, 2008 4:48 PM | Report abuse

beep beep

Posted by: CindyBoren | October 19, 2008 4:49 PM | Report abuse

The Skins offense does the best "we're bored" imitation of any I've ever seen. Where is their fire? They're supposed to be rebounding in this game, not regressing.

Posted by: messykat | October 19, 2008 4:50 PM | Report abuse

Way to go D. Alright O got to do something and give the D a rest. We need a TD and start talking their heart.

Ding new thread started.

Posted by: mofass79 | October 19, 2008 4:52 PM | Report abuse

This offense has become stale the past couple of weeks. A reverse to a TE??? I don't understand that at all. Zorn has to open this thing up some more because five yard off tackles and five yard outs don't really keep anyone honest. A close game like this, I think, favors the Browns because they will take chances, so they have a better opportunity to connect on a big play.
