Redskins 63
Chiefs 6

They'll have to play the 5th string QB to keep the score down.

Imagine trying to coach this team:

Can't make CP do anything he doesn't want to.
All the other RB's are averag to below average.
The WR's except for Moss are average to below average. Moss is aging, but could be a great #2.
Cooley catches everything thrown near him, but he's slow and can't block. Yoder? Davis?
The O-line is a turnstile and rusty at that.
JC is average, agreed with superior talent all around him, he won't lose the game for you.
Defense,
AH is big and a beast, but for that money he should never be off the filed and he should be in the backfield more often. 3 or 4 lineman could have been had for that money, good ones too! The rest of the nursing home, err I mean D-line? Ha! Orakpo is good but should be full time on the line.
LB's slow and lousy at covering TE's and RB's. DB's full of themselsve for sure, but I'd say average. Safties, good.
Coaching this team must be like putting James Madison against Florida every Sunday.

Is Edwin Williams signed from the practice squad? If so, who'd they release for his spot?

They need some speed on offence, but can't activate Alridge or Mitchell. Geeze.

That's a good list you compiled, but how much of it is the effect of the coaching? I think that a lot of the problems you mentioned would go away under a different coach. Parcells would get more out of his players -- CP, Haynesworth, the receivers, etc. -- than Jim Zorn does.

Sorry, that prediction was apparently for something else.

If I were to list my top 5 films of all time.

1. Easy Rider
2. Apocalypse Now
3. The Good the Bad and the Ugly
4. Lord of the Rings (I count it all as 1 film)
5. The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951)

Alex, I hate to quibble with you, but Lord of the Rings was three movies, not one. You have to view them as individual titles for a list such as this. Otherwise you could just say "All of Clint Eastwood's Spaghetti Westerns".

Also, the Day the Earth Stood Still is not a good movie.

Stupid as hell, Marko Mitchell and Anthony Aldridge inactive today?

Watch what you see on the field today. You will see a need for speed and smooth route running and leaping ability in the endzone.

Both are inactive today. What a stupid azz team this is. Still hope they can stumble and bumble to a victory today! Hail to the REDSKINS!!Fight for ole DC!!!!

After his performance in pre season, to not have Marko Mitchell active is a sure indication of the ignorance of those running this team. Good teams play their best players, not the ones they have the most invested in.

That leaves 2 backups on the line. It seems Cooley is 3rd string snapper on the FG team. I think Sellers could put down the mic and work on pass blocking. Center and pulling guard? Fred Davis could end up being bigger than Cooley with a similar frame but it seems he was drafted as a clone. (I think of USC and Ohio St. about like I thought of ACC teams of the past. Basically you can't go wrong with an SEC pick. But I also have to think Gibbs had more input on that one, finding the gem Cooley at Utah St. I seem to remember Gibbs being vocal about him during the draft.) Still if we had the Cowboy's tight ends you'd be less concerned about the status of the O-line. Pretty much everyone cried for a lineman during the draft. The team is built with a requirement of a dominant offensive line. A Witten and Bennett leer equates to a Cooley chip block. They tower like the statues on either side of the river in one of the Lord of the Rings movies. Especially when DEs have been mowing past our tackles like some monster riding mower with a drag racing engine, I'm looking for more from Sellers and Cooley.
