Reminder: Get the Big News Via Text Message

Hi. DeNunzio here with brief spam-like content. Don't worry, more football-related content coming very soon.

Anyway, just wanted to reminding you that we offer text-message alerts for the latest Redskins news. Our goal is to send out a text message the moment we post a blog item or story that would seem to be the biggest Redskins news of the day. So in total, we're guessing 5 to 7 texts a week.

If you had this service last Sunday, for instance, you would have learned about Phillip Daniels's injury, the subsequent diagnosis and the trade for Jason Taylor nearly instantly, even if you were away from your computer (not sure why that would be the case on a pleasant Sunday).

If you want these, text "REDSKINS" to "WPOST" (97678 if you're numerically-oriented). You'll receive a confirmation text, and will have to reply "OK" to that.

You can send a "STOP" message to the same number (97678) at any point to stop receiving the texts.
