Meeks and Snyder; Who's Sitting (Updated)

The Redskins' owner just spent a good five minutes or so on the field with Colts defensive coordinator Ron Meeks, who was a finalist to replace Joe Gibbs as head coach and interviewed on two occasions. The men were smiling and laughing, and Snyder extended his hand for a hearty handshake with Meeks at the end of the conversation.

Redskins media boss Zack Bolno just gave us the list of players expected to sit out tonight because of injuries or Coach Jim Zorn's decision to give some veterans the game off.

According to Bolno, these are the guys who won't participate in the on-field fun: rookie wide receivers Devin Thomas and Malcolm Kelly, wide receiver Anthony Mix, cornerback Carlos Rogers, running back Clinton Portis, safety LaRon Landry, running back Ladell Betts, linebacker Rocky McIntosh, linebacker H.B. Blades, defensive end Jason Taylor, linebacker Rian Wallace, linebacker London Fletcher, defensive end Erasmus James, defensive tackle Anthony Montgomery, defensive end Chris Wilson, defensive tackle Cornelius Griffin, defensive end Andre Carter.
