Samuels Walking on Sidelines

Chris Samuels was moving a little slowly, but he did walk out with the team for the start of the second half.

We're still awaiting word from the team, but he is not getting examined, which would seem to be a good sign, obviously.

From Previous Thread...

Unbelievable! Every time we are close to scoring we turn the ball over :(

Looks like a Rams win.......all our great previous wins will be for naught.

Posted by: Lisa_R | October 12, 2008 2:34 PM

Remember, there's two halves to every game. The Rams have found a way to lose games all season long and this game will be no different. Both teams have to play until the final whistle blows. I figure Zorn will have Portis & Betts run the ball down the Rams' throat.

We need something to get things started.

Posted by: alizadk | October 12, 2008 2:45 PM | Report abuse

This game is just pure ugly. Totally ugly. There are bounds to be games like this but it is ugly to have it happen. Perhaps this is what WAS needs to bring it down back to reality, but a loss would be humiliating.

Posted by: jiacinto | October 12, 2008 2:49 PM | Report abuse

Samuels is going to try to return. We'll see how it goes.

Posted by: CindyBoren | October 12, 2008 2:49 PM | Report abuse

Running right at Jason Taylor
Demetric Evans has been better run defender no question.

Posted by: RedskinRay1 | October 12, 2008 2:50 PM | Report abuse

Here's Haslett's chance to show what a moron he is. He should be punting here.

Cr@p

Posted by: dlhaze1 | October 12, 2008 2:52 PM | Report abuse

They got a first down, so that's hardly a moron.

Posted by: jiacinto | October 12, 2008 2:53 PM | Report abuse

The D has been on the field too long.

Posted by: JinxMan | October 12, 2008 2:55 PM | Report abuse

The problem here is that WAS is just giving STL too many chances.

Posted by: jiacinto | October 12, 2008 2:55 PM | Report abuse

I still say he'll make some bonehead decision that will turn the game in our favor.

Posted by: dlhaze1 | October 12, 2008 2:56 PM | Report abuse

So the good news is we can take the lead w/ a score. Let's see if the O can hold on to it for a while...

Gee - it sounds so quiet there at the Fed Ex....

Posted by: DikShuttle | October 12, 2008 2:57 PM | Report abuse

Alright Skins, now lets make something happen.

Posted by: TDawg1 | October 12, 2008 2:59 PM | Report abuse

We have been playing at an incredibly high level up to this game. Its hard to maintain that level especially for a team just learning how to play like this. We are having an obvious let down however better now to have these mistakes against a team that can not capitalize as well on them than against one of the NFLs' elite. We are still way in this game. Now I will go in my back yard and scream as loud as I can in disgust and frustration after that first half.

Posted by: mofass79 | October 12, 2008 2:59 PM | Report abuse

Samuels is back in there!

Posted by: dlhaze1 | October 12, 2008 3:02 PM | Report abuse

Ugh!

Posted by: mofass79 | October 12, 2008 3:03 PM | Report abuse

JC holding ball too long on a 3-step drop.

Posted by: learnedhand1 | October 12, 2008 3:04 PM | Report abuse

Wowe, that was bad. Horton is a great tackler though.....

Posted by: dlhaze1 | October 12, 2008 3:04 PM | Report abuse

Brb going to garage to hit myself in the groin with a softball bat. That should feel better.

Posted by: mofass79 | October 12, 2008 3:05 PM | Report abuse

Ugly! Ugly! Ugly!

Rams have the ball again with great field position.

To lose is one thing - to lose to a winless team in this matter unacceptable.

Posted by: Lisa_R | October 12, 2008 3:05 PM | Report abuse

This is pretty typical. All the media attention this week and these boys begin to believe the hype.

Actually, win or loose - this wakeup call could be just what we need to play the next stretch.

Posted by: DikShuttle | October 12, 2008 3:07 PM | Report abuse

Skins were lucky they only gave up a field goal on the Rams last drive. JC get sacked and now Hall is running all over the field. WAKE UP SKINS!!!!!!!

Posted by: renaw9 | October 12, 2008 3:07 PM | Report abuse

Skins started believing the hype.

Posted by: mofass79 | October 12, 2008 3:07 PM | Report abuse

I guess I should be happy I can't see the game. What happened to the team that they all of a sudden play like idiots? Wow; I just hope they can get it back together to pull off an "upset."

Posted by: JesusFreakKaren | October 12, 2008 3:08 PM | Report abuse

Always with the negative waves [Lisa], always with the negative waves.

Posted by: learnedhand1 | October 12, 2008 3:08 PM | Report abuse

Ye have little faith... let's panic when/if the Skins are still down in the 4th quarter with 2 minutes to go

Posted by: JinxMan | October 12, 2008 3:09 PM | Report abuse

Looks like Rams are having issues w/ Al Saunders' offense and getting in position. Nice sack, Springs!

Posted by: alizadk | October 12, 2008 3:10 PM | Report abuse

YES!

Posted by: dlhaze1 | October 12, 2008 3:10 PM | Report abuse

Woot lovin our D

Posted by: mofass79 | October 12, 2008 3:11 PM | Report abuse

Looks like they stopped them. But there is a flag.

Posted by: jiacinto | October 12, 2008 3:11 PM | Report abuse

Here we go. Let's see an 80 yd td drive!

Posted by: dlhaze1 | October 12, 2008 3:12 PM | Report abuse

THIS is where we turn it around boys!!

Posted by: TheSuperhoo | October 12, 2008 3:12 PM | Report abuse

Somebody said the Skins were giving the Rams too many chances. Well my take on that is that at kickoff all teams are equal and you can't just keep giving the ball over on turnovers, especially at times when you have a chance to score. Skins have been good in the t/o stats so far but law of averages are bound to catch up to you. Just too bad it's against a not so good te4am.

Posted by: renaw9 | October 12, 2008 3:13 PM | Report abuse

Make that a 92 yd td drive.....

Posted by: dlhaze1 | October 12, 2008 3:13 PM | Report abuse

To many mistakes

Posted by: chrislarry | October 12, 2008 3:13 PM | Report abuse

Rams defense smells blood and they are on the attack!!

Posted by: renaw9 | October 12, 2008 3:14 PM | Report abuse

Man, this is getting frustrating.....at least we recovered the fumble there.

Posted by: dlhaze1 | October 12, 2008 3:14 PM | Report abuse

The real jansen has shown up. getting his butt kicked in pass protection.

Posted by: renaw9 | October 12, 2008 3:15 PM | Report abuse

Say good-bye to Brooks.

Posted by: learnedhand1 | October 12, 2008 3:15 PM | Report abuse

Wow gang I wanna remain positive but they really are looking bad Im not sure if we will pull this out.

Posted by: mofass79 | October 12, 2008 3:15 PM | Report abuse

It's time for this defense to get seriously PO'ed and score for us.

Posted by: dlhaze1 | October 12, 2008 3:16 PM | Report abuse

WTH was that punt??? only 20-30 yards??

Posted by: TheSuperhoo | October 12, 2008 3:16 PM | Report abuse

I'm slightly hungover.

I just wake up to see 13-7, STL? Washington is losing? At FedEx? For real?

This is what I woke up to? Oh well. It'll get better.

Posted by: patriotnumber18 | October 12, 2008 3:17 PM | Report abuse

dl - I agree. We need a nice turnover here.

Posted by: suzannepdc | October 12, 2008 3:17 PM | Report abuse

wow someone has to make a play total lack of focus

Posted by: chrislarry | October 12, 2008 3:18 PM | Report abuse

Holt must be on Bulger's FF team.

Posted by: learnedhand1 | October 12, 2008 3:18 PM | Report abuse

Skin's offense sucks today.

Posted by: mofares | October 12, 2008 3:19 PM | Report abuse

Great - now it's an f'ing two possession game.

Posted by: suzannepdc | October 12, 2008 3:20 PM | Report abuse

At least the D is giving up 3 points and not TDs

Posted by: JinxMan | October 12, 2008 3:21 PM | Report abuse

Brooks is history after this game. Not a single punt of his has had decent distance or hang time. He got a few lucky rolls but the last punt, I could have punted farther! We are in very big danger of losing this game.

Posted by: Thundershock | October 12, 2008 3:21 PM | Report abuse

well looks another field goal, but it's points.....something the skins does not seem to be able to generate today......now we get a personal foul when means b ad field posn on the k/o. if we wind up with an "L" today it won't be that we were beaten.....we lost this game..

Posted by: renaw9 | October 12, 2008 3:21 PM | Report abuse

I think skins are going to loose this game...not good

Posted by: dealer1 | October 12, 2008 3:21 PM | Report abuse

Raise of hands: who didn't see this coming. It's classic NFL & classic skins. Play to the level of the competition.

Anyone besides me missing frosty at this point? I know he didn't do much in GB, but he looked better in pre-season. And he never screwed us this bad.

The turnovers did more, but still....

Posted by: DikShuttle | October 12, 2008 3:23 PM | Report abuse

16 unanswered. wth is the problem?

Posted by: TheSuperhoo | October 12, 2008 3:23 PM | Report abuse

Alright Randel El! This is the Washington Redskins the NFL came to know five weeks ago.

Posted by: patriotnumber18 | October 12, 2008 3:26 PM | Report abuse

I'm amazed that Redskins Radio is running behind my NFL.com updates

Posted by: JinxMan | October 12, 2008 3:26 PM | Report abuse

darn darn darn...these guys just can stand prosperity....

Posted by: renaw9 | October 12, 2008 3:27 PM | Report abuse

The radio is 2-3 plays behind. sucky.

Posted by: DikShuttle | October 12, 2008 3:27 PM | Report abuse

Chopping away.

Im watching the gamecast at NFL's website, and it's faster than the Redskins' radio broadcast. They're at least a play late.

Posted by: patriotnumber18 | October 12, 2008 3:27 PM | Report abuse

Dealer1,

As long as this loose this game and not lose this game, i'm happy with it.

Posted by: michael_b_clegg | October 12, 2008 3:28 PM | Report abuse

sigh good drive stifled :-/ at least we got 3.

Posted by: TheSuperhoo | October 12, 2008 3:30 PM | Report abuse

Field goals are good, but I don't like them at this point. We need touchdowns. Not feild goals.

Posted by: patriotnumber18 | October 12, 2008 3:30 PM | Report abuse

Oh no, there is no excuse whatsoever for the ball going out of bounds on a kickoff

Posted by: Thundershock | October 12, 2008 3:33 PM | Report abuse

Oh my god. Okay.

This guy will be looking for a job by the end of the day.

Posted by: patriotnumber18 | October 12, 2008 3:33 PM | Report abuse

WHAT THE EF? what's going on???? can ANYTHING else go more right for the Rams and more wrong for these boneheads???

Posted by: TheSuperhoo | October 12, 2008 3:34 PM | Report abuse

phew! espn gamecast was just messed up. all is not lost yet lol (it showed 1st and 10 from our 3 for the rams)

Posted by: TheSuperhoo | October 12, 2008 3:37 PM | Report abuse

Big stop big stop! Lets go Skins, make some of that 4th quarter magic happen!

Posted by: TheSuperhoo | October 12, 2008 3:39 PM | Report abuse

jeez talk about not getting out of your own way..should have been a much longer run back...oh well

Posted by: renaw9 | October 12, 2008 3:41 PM | Report abuse

Anyone on here recall last Sunday after the win, so many were quite giddy, and talking of going 7-1???

I posted to please stop that stuff and realize in the NFL you must be ready every game... take it one game at a time?

Posted by: RedskinRay1 | October 12, 2008 3:41 PM | Report abuse

Does it look like Betts is injured badly?

Posted by: RedskinRay1 | October 12, 2008 3:45 PM | Report abuse
