Santana Moss sits out practice with a knee injury
Top Redskins wide receiver Santana Moss (knee) sat out practice, according to the injury report released Thursday.
Moss, who was listed as limited in practice Wednesday, is having an outstanding season, ranking eighth in the league with 738 yards. He also is tied for eighth in the NFL with 57 receptions.
The 10-year veteran played a key role in the Redskins' 19-16 victory in overtime over the Tennessee Titans, with six catches for 106 yards and a touchdown. It was Moss's third game this season with at least 100 yards receiving.
In addition to Moss, running back Ryan Torain (hamstring), safety LaRon Landry (Achilles' tendon) and defensive end Jeremy Jarmon (hamstring) also sat out practice. Torain and Landry have been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings at FedEx Field.
Linebackers Lorenzo Alexander (hamstring) and Rocky McIntosh (thigh) were limited in practice after sitting out Wednesday. Return specialist Brandon Banks (knee), guard Derrick Dockery (knee), defensive lineman Kedric Golston (elbow/groin), guard Artis Hicks (thigh), center Casey Rabach (knee) and cornerback were limited in practice.
For the Vikings, wide receivers Bernard Berrian (groin) and Sidney Rice (hip) did not practice. They were not listed on Wednesday's injury report.

Time for Moss to call his doctor...

Zeke- players need to be cleared by team doctors in order to play. You can blame Shanahan for a lot of things but not Portis's newest injury. I thought they should have IR'ed him 6 weeks ago but he looked good for those 5 carries on Sunday.
The Moss injury would be devestating. Hopefully he'll play.

Who cares, Dallas lost which is always a good day. NFL surprised me with the heavy fine on the Titan who planned that bigtime head shot right under the chin-strap. It was decided in the huddle before the snap of the ball. I just remember the official behind McNabb backpeddling hard backwards like he knew the plan and was getting way away from it, instead of running toward it.
