Santana Moss's Charity Bashes/Waiting For Erasmus
Erasmus James, the Skins new DE acquisition, has yet to take his physical. Would be shocked if he doesn't pass it, even though he failed Minnesota's with his left ACL problems, and will update you on that info when I get it. Also, I screwed something up yesterday and, like a moron, forgot what year it was (seriously) when looking at Erasmus James's contract. Indeed he does have a $1 million salary left on his contract ... but that's in 2009. In 2008 he will earn $695,000 if he makes the Redskins. So he has two seasons left on his deal.
Okay, on to Santana Moss. Got some press releases about the man's parties this weekend and thought I'd share. Benefits go to his foundation. One of the events appears to be one of those deals where everybody has to wear white clothing (like P Diddy's annual party in the Hamptons). One other thing caught my eye - Mike Rumph is listed as a VIP athlete attending. Now, I know Santana knows Mike from The U, but given the play of Rumph and the secondary during his season here - 2006 - I'm not sure I'd be boasting about that (Rumph is a really good dude, though, and a good teammate). Also, it lists Rumph as playing for "Florida." I'm assuming he has no NCAA eligibility left, so could this be an Arena League team? Oh yeah, and one other thing. Pete Rock is playing at one of the parties, but no mention of CL Smooth. Would love to see those two back together doing a "Mecca And The Soul Brother" reunion tour, but I guess that's not to be.
Anywho, here are the details on Santana's parties:
NFL WIDE RECIEVER, SANTANA MOSS
TO HOST CELEBRITY CHARITY WEEKEND FESTIVITIES
AT IBIZA NIGHTCLUB
Ibiza and Santana Moss Welcome Celebrity Friends To DC To Benefit Economically Disadvantaged Communities
WHAT: It is the mission of The Santana Moss Foundation to encourage young people in broken communities to pursue their dreams. With education, hard work, and integrity, Santana Moss believes that a destiny filled with endless possibilities is attainable. To help these young people get their start, Santana and Ibiza have invited celebrities, athletes, and trendsetters to "The Santana Moss White Party."
At the end of May, the nations capital will turn its attention to the many athletes, celebrities and trendsetters participating in The Santana Moss Celebrity Weekend. The weekend will consist of a family cook out and two major parties all to benefit The Santana Moss Foundation.
EVENT 1: The Santana Moss Celebrity White Party at Ibiza will be the first preeminent event in the Washington, DC market ushering in the summer season. Patrons will be required to wear white attire; the venue will be themed in white décor, Smirnoff white themed cocktails and aerialists in white costumes. Famed record producer, artist and hip-hop icon Pete Rock will be the celebrity guest DJ on the clubs ultra V.I.P rooftop. Record producer Just Blaze whose produced hits for Jay-Z, Usher, Kanye West, Mariah Carey and a host of other major artists will be the celebrity guest DJ in the main room of Ibiza.
EVENT 2:
The Santana Moss Celebrity Birthday Party will take place at Gaylord National Resort/Pose Ultra Lounge. This will be an invitation-only event that caters to a select range of dynamic visionaries, CEOs, athletes, fashion impresarios, socialites and entertainment trendsetters. Inside the venue on the eighteenth floor patrons will be treated to hand-rolled cigars on the terrace overlooking the Potomac River, specialty drinks with fresh ingredients, exclusive table service, music from a celebrity DJ and a midnight toast all in honor of Santana Moss's birthday.
WHO: Sinorice Moss (New York Giants), Edgerrin James (Arizona Cardinals), Andre Johnson (Houston Texans), Clinton Portis (Washington Redskins), Ed Reed (Baltimore Ravens), Chad Johnson (Cincinnati Bengals), Roscoe Parrish (Buffalo Bills), Quinn Gray (Houston Texans),
Carlos Rogers (Washington Redskins), Mike Rumph (Florida), Just Blaze (Roc-A-Fella-Records), and Pete Rock (Artist/Producer).
So there you have it. Not sure if any of you guys will be crashing the red carpet, and if you do shoot me an email about it. Lord knows my sorry butt ain't going anywhere. As best I can tell I'm in for more chores around the house - about to put it back on the market after a long hiatus - and another weekend of "Potty Training Boot Camp" with Chloe, which has gone surprisingly well so far.

Blue-eyed soul

What about those unsightly pantie lines?

Tony Romo back together with Jessica Simpson
Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo are back ''on,'' but a college pal of the Dallas Cowboys quarterback tells me it's Romo who's calling all the plays. ''He did agree to go to [sister Ashlee's] wedding -- keeping his promise to Jessica,'' Romo's Eastern Illinois alum chum told me. ''But he made it super-clear that if they were to give it another go, her dad had to seriously back off.'' Joe Simpson has long been seen as an overbearing presence, as he managed both his daughters' careers. While clearly successful, Simpson has earned a reputation as being a guy extremely difficult with whom to work. My source says Romo has told Jessica their renewed relationship is ''a trial thing,'' dependent on Daddy Joe ''leaving them alone'' and stifling his tendency to tell Romo how to run his life, career and endorsement deals.

Ahhh -- but Shenandoah has trees, lots of them. And Yosemite has a type of Sequoia in the Wawona section that are among the largest on earth. Grand Canyon, well, not as many trees along the river.
Torres del Paine has some forested areas (including one that was burnt), but the winds that run thru that area don't let trees grow very big. Still, there are plenty of trees to hide behind.

Heard it was Zsa Zsa on Carson ... but the story was the same.
As for groups ... Stevie Wonder is a guy not a group. Did see him in concert earlier this year. I made sure to wave at him when he came on stage, just like George Bush did ...

slc ... Some Kennedy Center type event had Bush in attendance and Stevie Wonder comes out. So they pan to Bush and he is waving at Stevie Wonder.
So I figure if the president thinks its a good idea to wave at Stevie ... then why not th rest of us?

I can't wear all white. I gotta put some sparkle on it. Maybe with some goofy oversized sunglasses, a wig, and a mustache.

A white party? That is about the lamest thing I've ever heard.
Anyway, who would want to hang out with these retards anyway? They have IQ's of about 25 on a good day.

Looks like Mike Rumph is playing for Team Florida in the All American Football League, whose Head Coach is former Redskins QB Shane Matthews. This assumes the '09 season actually occurs as the '08 season was canceled.
