School's Out

Last week Coach Joe spared the boys the final two days of OTA practices - set for Tues. and Wed. of this week - and opted to give them walkthroughs instead.

Well, today he showed ever more clemency. The players reported this morning for meetings and work, and were promptly sent home. So before Howard or I got out to The Park (players usually start leaving around 1 pm or so), everyone was already heading home. There was no scheduled media availability anyway, and Shawn Springs will talk after the first day of mini camp on Friday afternoon now, from what I gather.

Tomorrow is essentially an off day, with only some medical testing scheduled, and by Sunday afternoon the team is free up until late July, when training camp starts (they are reporting sometime around July 25th).

I had a good talk with Phillip Daniels late yesterday afternoon, and I'll post something from that later in the day. I have two big stories to finish off for the weekend, which I think you guys will enjoy, and will keep blogging away should anything occur.

Mini camp starts at noon on Friday and runs for two hours, and we get to watch that session. There will be like 90 guys out there running around so it will be difficult to keep an eye on everyone, but I'll do my best.

Cheers.
