Sean Taylor To Enter The Ring of Honor
The Redskins are announcing that the slain safety will be indicuted into the Ring on Nov. 30, when the Giants visit FedEx Field.
More details of the ceremony are to come. Sean was shot and killed last November, and remains in the hearts and minds of his coaches and teammates.

Once he clears waivers, Oakland still has to pay out his $70M contract, so it shouldn't cost the Skins too much.

That would be wrong they will only pay the signing bonus NFL contracts are not guaranteed.
Once he clears wavers he can be had by the highest bidder, he is owed no previous salary.

dc, Hall got into a shouting/shoving match with a head coach when he was in Atl, I believe.
ST, very well deserved in the ROH. Wish they were doing this for the Dallas game, but oh well....

Beantown,
I think it will give our team & fans some of the emotional high that NY got when we were the lamb for the season opener, which is only fair.

So being a shot-dead thug qualifies someone to join Riggins, Baugh and other luminaries in the Ring of Fame?

Not sure where the "locker room cancer" rap on DeAngelo Hall comes from...

Are you kidding me man? Open your eyes. When someone takes all that money and then refuses to lay it on the line for an organization, no matter how bad of an organization, that speaks directly to his character. I don't understand you fantasy football Redskin fans and your love for destroying our team with the next big signing. Move on man. We got corners. I'll take a corner who can cover over one who can't but gets the occasional INT any day.

I know we don't "retire" jerseys, but the Redskin Organization should also take the opportunity and "RETIRE 21". I'm sure no one is dumb enough to try and wear 21 but we should retire Sean's Number. Miss u 21

I have always thought the redskins (Snyder) should honor Sean T by having a statue of ST.

21 was a good player for the limited time he was with us and his death was a tragedy but I am sorry his tenure with the Skins does not rise to the level of Riggo, Baugh, Sonny, Sam or the rest. The Ring should signify not only great play but longevity as well.

Not sure where the "locker room cancer" rap on DeAngelo Hall comes from, except that he is close friends with Ocho Cinco, and he came out in support of Vick (something in his eye black) on the day Vick got sentenced. They went to Va Tech at the same time. Seems like everyone hated playing Atlanta the year Hall got beat up by a teammate(s?) in the Falcons locker room (last year?).
