Once again I know I'm probably being dense but what do you gain by defering to receive kick off for 2nd half? Is that the college rule?

What I'm not crazy about so far (I've seen most, but not all, of the first half) is the reliance on b/u's. The Skins do NOT have a platoon backfield, Thomas is a rookie and the b/u TE isn't Chris Cooley.

It's starting to remind me of the Fun 'n Gun offense.

Get the ball to our playmakers and stop being so conservative.

You get the chance to get the ball in the 2nd half. What don't you get, I think you are overthinking it.

The option to defer to receive in the second half when you are the visiting team is that after halftime people are still not in their seats or near as load at the start of the second half compared to the beginning of the game. Guess work at best but something I have heard and read. SOme thinks that it works others want the ball no matter.

Sorry, SF, there's nothing I can do...I adore the Jason Candle ad; that's funny.

Alot of these early games have been slap boring. Skins need to open it up in the second half, cause I guarantee the Cards will try to.

sfskin--Didn't you ask this last week and didn't someone say that you get the advantage of starting your drive while all the home team fans are in the bathroom? You get a much quieter stadium than you would get at the start of the game.

Alan, the Washington Post has plenty of company. Weak punting, a bad hold on a field goal. Durant has had a rough start in the NFL.

Just adding to the pressure is the fact that the Skins front office used a draft pick on a punter.

Carlos Rogers is looking pretty darn good this game.

There are a lot of different reasons to pick when you want to get the ball.

Also, God Willing, Brooks Punts Like Ray Guy. If not, tryouts at Ashburn soon. Bill Walsh's WC Coaches usually script their first 15 plays of the game. But we're past that now. Mix the Pressure on Warner. DC, use play action passing and keep improving.

King Card is alright by me. He came up here last year and did the same thing throghout the game. When the 'Skins pulled out a win he congratulated us and left. He's always welcome.

Always good to go for 4 yards when the first-down marker is 7 yards downfield. You're making our job easier...

And the Pats' O isn't solely to blame for the destruction. The Dolphins are running it down their throat. Ronnie Brown has more than a hundred yards and 4 TDs on 16 carries (he also has a passing TD - what a FF day for his coach). Rickey Williams has 50 yds on 8 carries.
