Skins D - Fierce
The Redskins top the NFC in pretty much every defensive category, or are darn close.
They rank first in:
Yards Per Game
Yards Per Play
Net Passing Yards Per Play
Net Passing Yards Per Game
First Downs Per Game
Third Down Efficiency
Points Per Game
They rank 2nd in Rushing Yards Per Game
They rank 4th in Sacks Per Pass Play and Rushing Yards Per Attempt
That's called getting it done folks. Seems like only 11 months ago a certain magazine writer, without ever setting foot in Redskins Park, essentially said this D coaching staff was toast, their system had been figured out by the rest of the league and intimated that a player mutiny was coming and they had lost the locker room.
Yeah, right.
Now, what is surprising is the Cards are out-rushing the Skins after Week 6, Cards average a ho-hum 4.0 per carry, while the Skins are at a putrid 3.7 (Arizona bolstered and coached up their O Line under a former Hog, while the Skins are just trying to find enough healthy bodies to have a line).
