Skins Expect Boschetti to Play Sunday

Jason La Canfora reports:

DT Lorenzo Alexander said that, from what players have heard, newcomer Ryan Boschetti will play Sunday against the New York Giants.

Boschetti was just signed yesterday and has not played since preseason, but the Skins are running short of healthy linemen.

"The Giants are going to come after us in the run game, we know that," Alexander said. "And whoever is in there, whether it's me and Boschetti or whoevever, we've got to be ready to play."

Since I wasn't able to escape to the bar on Sunday for the game ("You are leaving me here with the baby???") I had to listen to radio feed online. Wow does Larry Michael suck at play by play.

Yeah, total burn. Poor JLC. I hope he can recover. He'll probably never post another thing up here again. We all bow to you Larry. Tool.

The information seemed "sourced" (to Lorenzo Alexander).

What is surprising is that jmicrodoc considers this to be exciting news worth "breaking." Seems kind of obvious to me, i.e., just an excuse to open up a new thread after the previous one ran its course.

That face rake thing the DB's do when they break up a pass.....I've been wondering what that means. Anybody know????

cL- When we found out that Larry Michael was firing Frank Herzog to install himself as play-by-play guy, we were all stunned. You're management, and you want to call 'Skins games, so you fire the guy who's an institution...and you're a never-was-who-wants-to-be-and-still-isn't? Mind boggling.

And yes, even now, he blows as a play by play man.
And on this day, of all days, to have his minions come up here with that petty crap...he hasn't changed a bit.

Just thought of this: remember when the Giants owner died a few years back and they Giants dusted us 36-0 the first game after that? Wouldn't it be something if we could have a game like that at the expense of NY while honoring the late great #21? Let's hope RI Nation, let's hope...

DL,

When I was a kid we would say "facial", or "face" when we felt like we schooled someone at something. While yelling the phrase we would do the face rake...sometimes open fisted, sometimes closed...

This seemed to go out of style some time around 1982-84....maybe it has been reborn?
