Snyder issues statement on Pollin's death

Redskins owner Daniel Snyder has issued the following statement on the death of Wizards owner Abe Pollin today at the age of 85:

"Abe Pollin was a great owner for Washington, as well as a personal friend. His legacy will live through his teams and the arena he built, and just as importantly, through his commitment to his family and to Washington. My thoughts and prayers go out to Irene and the rest of his wonderful family."

first to say ... Abe was a good guy. Cheap, but a good guy.

Abe was a good man, who was more valued as a citizen than as sports team owner. The decision to go downtown for his new arena completely changed Chinatown.

Abe was loyal to Wes Unseld which made sense as a player but ultimately became a joke as a GM.

Snyder is for whatever reason loyal to Vinny which dosen't make any sense and is beyond a joke at this point.

Sheesh, does everyone here think like the Snyderatoator Carcinoma maker?

Let's see, going down the list:

Minn - Yes. Favre is after all 40 isn't he?
CHI - Maybe. Stuck with Cutler? No.
Dallas - Maybe.
Tampa Bay- Strong possibility.
Carolina - Maybe, DelHomme looks terrible.
PHI - Andy Reid might like this possiblility.
StL Rams - over Bulger? Definitely.
BUF - Probably.
MIA - Maybe. Parcells could pull the trigger.
NE - nope. Brady.
NYJ - nope. Stuck with the rookie ... suckers!!!
BAL - Maybe. He looks better than what they have.
CIN - Over Carson. Probably not.
CLE - Quinn is looking better. He could land there.
49'ers - Maybe.
PIT - Big Ben is getting older. Concussions. Maybe.
HOU - Sure.
IND - Peyton needs a backup . Not JC.
JAC - Probably.
TEN - Sure.
DEN - Maybe.
KC - Over Cassel? Hell yes.
AZ - Hell yes.
OAK - With JaMarcus gone definite possibility.
SD - Rivers. no.

C'mon wake up and smell the coffee. He is followed by scouts from other team every single game now. And he is improving.

It is possible Pollin is a better man than Snyder, I really couldn't say. But my money is on Snyder to hoist more league championship trophies.

What a great man, and great owner. What he did for DC will never fully be realized, he simply revitalized the city in many ways. Say what you will about him as an owner, but he was a pillar of DC and was very charitable man.

jason campbell is not even close to as good as joe flacco is....the guy that actually made that statement should not be allowed to post on here ever again

A great man who helped feed starving children in Africa, financed the airlifting of Ethiopian Jews to Israel, and who has the nerve to call this man cheap?

He paid for the Capital Center and MCI Center out of his own pocket, moved the Bullets from Baltimore to DC, brought the NHL to DC...

He also treated his fans like royalty. Compare Abe to Dan Snyder.

Abe, from a native Washingtonian, thank you for everything you've done in your wonderful life.

Snyder has absolutely nothing in common with Mr. Pollin. Another instance where Snyder should have kept his mouth shut.
