The Gameday reading and watching room

Hard to believe it's the last home game of the season already. Here's your pregame checklist:

  • In Gameday, Doug Farrar of the Football Outsiders says it might be a good idea for the Redskins to throw disguised or delayed blitzes at the Cowboys. Farrar's looking at you, Mr. Orakpo.
  • Weather? Oh, there'll be some. The Capital Weather Gang tells you what to expect. (Remember: there's no such thing as cold weather, only inappropriately dressed people.)

Two guys, four quarters

Around the NFL

Mark Maske has the playoff possibilities and permutations.

From the Bog

Dan "Zapruder" Steinberg takes one last look back at images from the "Monday Night Football" thing game.

New video from Danny Rouhier

The view from Dallas

Gil Lebreton of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram asks "where's the hate?" between the Redskins and Cowboys. ... Jan Hubbard writes about the inspirational return of DeMarcus Ware. ... Mike Jenkins finds success in his second season, Todd Archer of the Dallas Morning News writes; now will he find a Pro Bowl berth? The Pro Bowl team, incidently, will be announced Tuesday night.
