Skins Lead by a TD after 3

The Redskins have a pass rush going and it's been big. Jason Taylor's second sack resulted in a fumble and a short field for the offense ... and they finally got into the end zone.

Brian Westbrook hasn't been terribly involved, and that 47-yard strike down the sidelines was key. The linebackers were nowhere to be found and DT Lorenzo Alexander ended up chasing the Pro Bowl back, which is about the biggest mismatch imaginable.

The Redskins have been the better team, for sure. Now they have to win a fourth quarter to have anything to show for it. Westbrook figures to be fed the ball now. His touches are still down from the norm over the past few weeks.

Seriously why cant Tanaman be back there every time??? Or at least some one mildly competent? I guess it doesnt really matter when half of the returns come back due to penalties any how...

There's your number one rusher.

Posted by: slats999 | December 21, 2008 6:35 PM | Report abuse

Nice run by JC. Needed that 1st down.

Posted by: Curzon417 | December 21, 2008 6:35 PM | Report abuse

ATL is going to win, so a Redskins victory is pointless.

Posted by: jiacinto | December 21, 2008 6:37 PM | Report abuse

play calling sucks on that drive.

Luckily Rogers missed that INT.

Question of the day: can we hold on to win?

Posted by: austin987654 | December 21, 2008 6:40 PM | Report abuse

I am so frustrated with Campbell. I can't believe that we never have anyone open. He has missed way too many easy throws today, and that last one should have just been picked off.

Posted by: olavsmith | December 21, 2008 6:40 PM | Report abuse

Posted by: skins1110 | December 21, 2008 6:42 PM | Report abuse

It's Rodgers. Not Rogers.

Posted by: slats999 | December 21, 2008 6:42 PM | Report abuse

Jiacinto, 9-7 is better than 8-8. Doubtful one draft spot will matter since DC should trade down and get more picks.

D Hall is having himself another game. While this game may be meaningless as far as playoffs go, I have a feeling Zorn feels it is a must win.

re-signing Hall would be a good move this offseason.

You're right, lsskinsfan.

CP should have hiked the ball to himself, handed off to himself, blocked all the Iggles himself, run for a touchdown, and then kicked the extra point.

We should cut his lazy SJK and get us a decent running back.

Mr.Redskin21--But after that 4-1 and 6-2 start 8-8 or 9-7 is just a complete disappointment. I know that it is good season when you factor in that this was Zorn's first years, but count me among the multitudes who are disappointed.

If they played the rest of the league with the same intensity as the East games this team would have 10 + wins. Jason Campbell's QB rating drops 14 points in the last 2 minutes of a half in 2008.

Don't worry. Dallas will find a way to lose.

A win is a win, I guess. Zorn is still on the hot seat, as he should be. Anyone who can't improve upon last year's inept offense, with basically the same players, deserves to be scrutinized.

Campbell plays scared and has only gone over 300 yards 3 times in 4 years. He's part of the problem.

Glad to see the Skins beat a quality opponent in their house.

The Iggle D is pretty good right now. The Skins O did not give up any turnovers, didnt commit any stupid penalties, and scored enough points to win.

All you haters, please quit whining and take your prozac.
