Skins Lead after 3

Well, they finally got in the end zone, and Jason Campbell finally looked deep. Against this defense I think you can keep attacking them downfield - there are soft spots all over that Tampa-2 - but Jim Zorn seems to be going conservative again.

Devin Thomas is making plays on special teams again, which is not a bad place to get your career goingl. One more TD and this place will completely clear out, but if it stays close I have a feeling Zorn might keeping playing not to lose.

We shall see.

"Lions were not penalized in the entire first half". Mistakes like that are what cause these guys to be the stinker game announcers. So why do we keep getting them?

And the worst "Stat" Ever goes to...

Play-by play announcer said right before his 2nd attempt: "Of Suisham's four FG misses, 3/4 have missed to the left"...

and then again right before his 3rd attempt, after missing the 2nd FG to the right, the announcer said, "once again, we would like to remind everyone that of Suisham's 5 FG misses, 3 have missed to the left."

WTF kinda "stat" is that...I guess FOX thinks its possible to divide 5 evenly by 2?!!!

Posted by: tomfoley1 | October 26, 2008 3:31 PM | Report abuse

Ok, since we didn't get the 2, we need to score one more time minimum to put the nail in the coffin... not saying that the Lions will even score again, but we need to totally deflate them.

Top 10 defense and they play to not lose. What's up with that?

Posted by: Curzon417 | October 26, 2008 3:42 PM | Report abuse

Too many coaches, Zorn included don't understand when to go for 2, its simple:

"You only go for 2 when you absolutely need 2."

So throw out that da#n 2-pt chart, and avoid killing your momentum and avoid putting yourself in a position of chasing points.

Posted by: tomfoley1 | October 26, 2008 3:42 PM | Report abuse

I hope we don't regret missing or going for that 2 pt. conversion...

Now, we GET AGGRESSIVE and put the game away. I don't want to see us getting CP run, CP run, CP run, punt because they're stacking the box. Although it would sure be nice to see CP extend his streak of 120+. Anyone know how many he has right now?

Posted by: RGMBill | October 26, 2008 3:42 PM | Report abuse

That is why you do not got for 2 so early. Field goal should put them up 9 not 8.
