Skin Take Lead in 3rd Quarter
The Skins have run directly at the edge of the Philly D and are gashing them now. It's been almost all runs behind the tackles - with a guard often pulling - and the Eagles seem gassed now.
The Redskins obviously need to finish this drive with 7 and not 3, but they are out-muscling the Eagles now and exerting their will. Defensively, London Fletcher is all over Brian Westbrook and the Eagles lack direction on offense since that stellar opening drive.
And you gotta love Zorn's use of judicious motion inside the red zone again. He sends Randle El in motion before he takes that end around and throws the option pass to Cooley for the go-ahead TD. Well scripted play.
Very impressive 45 minutes of football for the Skins. They have dominated since the first quarter.

Those of you regs who know me know that I live in Indiana. Fox, after the NFL pregame show, decided to put on re-runs of CHEERS instead of ANY football game, let alone the Skins-Iggles. I've been watching the scoreboard refresh online and listening to the gang on Redskins Radio-- man, this sounds like a game I wish I could be watching. We sound dominating.

oh yes, game ball to ... Suisham.
3 FGs, all from over 40 yards is what kept this team in the game. The Skins didn't make it into the red zone in the entire first half.
He did have 1 shanked kick off, but otherwise he was money. Akers missed his long attempt, but Suisham made all of his. Those long FGs kept us in the game and ultimately provided the margin of victory.
