Oooh. Too much time for Favre.

Cool-Aid

Posted by: SMACK | October 14, 2007 2:23 PM | Report abuse

COOOLLLEEEYYYY!!! He is a TD machine for Soups!

Posted by: sfskin | October 14, 2007 2:24 PM | Report abuse

Weird Al is doing a really good job calling this game.

Posted by: JustMe | October 14, 2007 2:24 PM | Report abuse

Amazing special teams tackles today. Very impressive.

Posted by: P Diddy | October 14, 2007 2:24 PM | Report abuse

Great tackle, Praylow.

Now we need that INT

Posted by: talent evaluator | October 14, 2007 2:25 PM | Report abuse

#74 is Aaron Kampman. He is today's version of Reggie White or Julius Peppers or even better. Any tackle in the NFL would have problems with him so it's not just the Redskins line.

Posted by: bigfish | October 14, 2007 2:25 PM | Report abuse

That costs them a time out!

Posted by: talent evaluator | October 14, 2007 2:26 PM | Report abuse

220 Yards of Offense in the first half.

JC 2 TDs.

Cooley 97 Yards and a TD.

Not bad.

Posted by: SCSkins | October 14, 2007 2:26 PM | Report abuse

Alrighy Defense go to it.

Poor Redcoat he must be on the bell tower by now.

Posted by: sfskin | October 14, 2007 2:26 PM | Report abuse

Damn you Favre!

Posted by: P Diddy | October 14, 2007 2:27 PM | Report abuse

STOP EM!

Posted by: DORF | October 14, 2007 2:27 PM | Report abuse

Great game management by Favre. Hope Gibbs in watching.

Posted by: talent evaluator | October 14, 2007 2:28 PM | Report abuse

If only Troy Vincent were here...

Posted by: P Diddy | October 14, 2007 2:28 PM | Report abuse

Cleo Lemon just threw a TD, sfskin. Maybe RC isnt up the tower just yet.

Posted by: SCSkins | October 14, 2007 2:29 PM | Report abuse

A bad snap would be nice with the rain and all.

Posted by: sfskin | October 14, 2007 2:29 PM | Report abuse

Should have called the TO after he'd gone into his motion.

Posted by: talent evaluator | October 14, 2007 2:29 PM | Report abuse

This trend with timeouts before field goals is annoying. I was hoping St. Joe wouldn't fall for this madness.

Posted by: P Diddy | October 14, 2007 2:29 PM | Report abuse

Yeah Mason Crosby!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by: bigfish | October 14, 2007 2:30 PM | Report abuse

So. Gibbs icing trick worked! Ha ha!

Posted by: talent evaluator | October 14, 2007 2:30 PM | Report abuse

Solid solid solid half. Looks like they are adjusting to weather and such.

Now we need the WRs to hold on to the ball. Keep running with Sellers/Betts/CP. Can't come out flat in the second half.

Posted by: sfskin | October 14, 2007 2:31 PM | Report abuse

This trend with timeouts before field goals is annoying. I was hoping St. Joe wouldn't fall for this madness.

Posted by: P Diddy | October 14, 2007 02:29 PM

Diddy, Even if I agreed with you, I wouldn't want to find myself on the same side as Troy Aikman. And, it worked!

Posted by: talent evaluator | October 14, 2007 2:31 PM | Report abuse

Philly in a close one at the half. They could still lose to the Jests. McNabb already has 188 yards passing (JC second at 149).

Posted by: SCSkins | October 14, 2007 2:32 PM | Report abuse

Mason Crosby sounds like he should be belting out tunes about pickup trucks, dying dogs, and women who've left him in a lurch. Maybe Kili could give him some source material.

Posted by: P Diddy | October 14, 2007 2:32 PM | Report abuse

Could someone please tell Aikman to shut the LAVAR up. Damn. He's starting to make me wish Theisman were back in the booth.

Posted by: Icarus | October 14, 2007 2:32 PM | Report abuse

Marvin Lewis is slowly watching his job disappear. He's a good guy and needs a new team.

Posted by: sfskin | October 14, 2007 2:36 PM | Report abuse

Need more Caveman in the second half

Posted by: countryskin | October 14, 2007 2:37 PM | Report abuse

SMACK...what's your Green Bay neighbor yellin' now?

Posted by: SCSkins | October 14, 2007 2:37 PM | Report abuse

Lot of Campbell love going around. You know, this could be enough to temper the media's Redskin-hate. Very difficult to love the QB and hate the franchise in the same breath. Too subtle for most of the clucks writing that stuff to articulate.

Posted by: talent evaluator | October 14, 2007 2:38 PM | Report abuse

Did the Jets actually wear these unis at some point? Really? Looks like they went to Herman's and picked up whatever was available.

Posted by: sfskin | October 14, 2007 2:38 PM | Report abuse

'Skins get the ball first in the 2nd half. Come on O! Let's put the knife in them.

Posted by: P Diddy | October 14, 2007 2:39 PM | Report abuse

Marvin Lewis is slowly watching his job disappear. He's a good guy and needs a new team.

Posted by: sfskin | October 14, 2007 02:36 PM

I agree with those who see him, like Norv, as a good coordinator and weak head coach.

Posted by: talent evaluator | October 14, 2007 2:39 PM | Report abuse

sfskin--They said that the unis were worn by the New York Titans.

Non-football sign of the apocalypse:

Thursday - for several hours cars on one of the on ramps to the 880 either avoided or drove over a "carcass" in the road. This carcass was believed to be a deer. Only several hours later did someone finallhy realize it was a human being. The highway was then shut down for several hours.

Posted by: sfskin | October 14, 2007 2:41 PM | Report abuse

We gotta be killing them in TOP...

Posted by: Tom Flick | October 14, 2007 2:42 PM | Report abuse

Wow, sfskin. Wow.

Posted by: P Diddy | October 14, 2007 2:42 PM | Report abuse

Adrian Peterson already has 105 yards rushing against Chicago.

I think we are seeing the Curse of the Archibingus in Chi-town.

Posted by: SCSkins | October 14, 2007 2:42 PM | Report abuse

Thanks TE.

Does Herman's still exist?

Agreed Diddy we need to drive it down and get a score.

Posted by: sfskin | October 14, 2007 2:43 PM | Report abuse

This icing the kicker timeout is stupid! Kornheiser and Wilbon say the rule should be abolished. So that settles it.

Posted by: Cindy | October 14, 2007 2:44 PM | Report abuse

That is pretty bad if Cooley was their focus

Posted by: BT | October 14, 2007 2:45 PM | Report abuse

Is Santana wearing a collared shirt under his uni? It looks like a school girl uniform shirt.

Nice CP!!!!

Posted by: sfskin | October 14, 2007 2:46 PM | Report abuse

Nice run. :-)

Posted by: JustMe | October 14, 2007 2:46 PM | Report abuse

CP taking this game on his shoulders. Gain of 13.

Posted by: P Diddy | October 14, 2007 2:46 PM | Report abuse

I cant remember the last time Moss played started a game and got shut down like this.

Posted by: SCSkins | October 14, 2007 2:46 PM | Report abuse

according to Pam Oliver,

Joe Gibbs believe its going to be a back and forth game...

why can't he just believe we'll dominate?

Posted by: Dorf | October 14, 2007 2:47 PM | Report abuse

SCSkins,

Moss is mostly shutting himself down.

Posted by: JustMe | October 14, 2007 2:48 PM | Report abuse

anybody feel like campbell's passes are floating?

Posted by: waiting since 92 | October 14, 2007 2:48 PM | Report abuse

How was that a flag on Thrash??????

Posted by: P Diddy | October 14, 2007 2:48 PM | Report abuse

That is BS!

Posted by: BT | October 14, 2007 2:48 PM | Report abuse

How is that Thrashes fault! BOO!

Posted by: sfskin | October 14, 2007 2:48 PM | Report abuse

How is that a penalty on Thrash when the dude was trying to tackle him?

Go, Moss.

Posted by: talent evaluator | October 14, 2007 2:49 PM | Report abuse

Santana IS wearing a collared shirt! nice catch

Posted by: waiting since 92 | October 14, 2007 2:50 PM | Report abuse

Some of Soup's passes have been floating all year.

Posted by: talent evaluator | October 14, 2007 2:50 PM | Report abuse

Receiver, The with a catch! But it's negated on the penalty!

Love it!

Posted by: P Diddy | October 14, 2007 2:50 PM | Report abuse

Le Recepteur! Nullified. Guy can't catch a break. Love the celebration though. I caught a pass! I caught a pass!

Posted by: sfskin | October 14, 2007 2:50 PM | Report abuse

'Skins forced to punt. KGB sighting.

Posted by: P Diddy | October 14, 2007 2:51 PM | Report abuse

Why did GB accept that? It would have been 4th down

Posted by: BT | October 14, 2007 2:51 PM | Report abuse

BT, I'm thinking two words: "Mike Sellers"

Posted by: P Diddy | October 14, 2007 2:52 PM | Report abuse

Bench Moss. Play Lloyd.

Keep Betts on the bench. Play Portis and Carwright

Posted by: Anonymous | October 14, 2007 2:52 PM | Report abuse

These Southwest ads are hi-larious.

Can you refuse any penalty? I thought some like illegal formations were automatic.

Posted by: sfskin | October 14, 2007 2:52 PM | Report abuse

These refs are nowhere near as good as Hochuli's crew. Ed runs a tight ship with tight pants.

Posted by: P Diddy | October 14, 2007 2:53 PM | Report abuse

US Americans status: this is still our country

Posted by: Dorf | October 14, 2007 2:53 PM | Report abuse

How can you call pass interference on the offense and illegal contact on the defense in the same play at the same exact time? Isn't it either one or the other.

And FYI - it's still our country.

Posted by: bigfish | October 14, 2007 2:53 PM | Report abuse

Phew I was really getting worried that it might not be our country anymore but it still is.

Posted by: sfskin | October 14, 2007 2:53 PM | Report abuse

Some really bad calls against the 'Skins today -- the bogus interception call, the penalty on Thrash. Someone on the take.

Posted by: talent evaluator | October 14, 2007 2:53 PM | Report abuse

HAHA. I never thought I would hear someone say to bench Moss for Lloyd.

Maybe we should put Priest Holmes in instead.

Posted by: SCSkins | October 14, 2007 2:54 PM | Report abuse

YEAH! THE REAPER!

Posted by: Dorf | October 14, 2007 2:55 PM | Report abuse

The Reaper gets the asterisk in the NFL record books. INT!

Well done!

Posted by: P Diddy | October 14, 2007 2:55 PM | Report abuse

Go Reaper!!!!

Posted by: JustMe | October 14, 2007 2:55 PM | Report abuse

That's the way you do it baby!!!!! Go Reaper!!!!

Posted by: bigfish | October 14, 2007 2:55 PM | Report abuse

So, Reaper's been watching Cooley instead of Rogers. Nice move Reaper.

Posted by: talent evaluator | October 14, 2007 2:55 PM | Report abuse

REAPER! Finally. Although that might be challenged. Do you need to have control on an INT cause didn't look like he got both feet in.

Posted by: sfskin | October 14, 2007 2:55 PM | Report abuse

Now THAT is recovery speed...and a bad throw

Posted by: BT | October 14, 2007 2:55 PM | Report abuse

Seriously, someone should be doing some stretching with these players... too many groins and hammies!

Posted by: Alan | October 14, 2007 2:56 PM | Report abuse

Does anyone know why Taylor doesn't wear gloves? He seems to be one of the only WR/RB/DB types who doesn't use them.

Posted by: tmc | October 14, 2007 2:56 PM | Report abuse

I'm thinking that was Mom, The of Receiver, The calling for Moss to be benched.

Posted by: P Diddy | October 14, 2007 2:56 PM | Report abuse

REEEAAAAPPPPEEEERRR

Posted by: SCSkins | October 14, 2007 2:56 PM | Report abuse

from the last thread about 1991 Falcon game

Playing against rookie cornerback Brian Mitchell, Redskins wide receivers Gary Clark and Art Monk went wild, finishing with 367 yards and five touchdowns. Rypien threw for 442 yards - the second-highest total in team history - and hit the longest pass of his career, an 82-yard touchdown to Clark, who matched his career high with three touchdown catches.

I remember Glanville whining about the Redskins running up the score. St.Joe said they kept blitzing Rypien and singling Monk and Clark.

Nice INT Reaper! I called it!!!

Posted by: noone from tampa | October 14, 2007 2:57 PM | Report abuse

3 INTs on the year for the Reaper so far and a few blow up hits. I'm smelling another (and well deserved, this time) trip to Hawaii.

Posted by: JustMe | October 14, 2007 2:57 PM | Report abuse

Someone last week was tellin' me that ARE is MVP over the Reaper so far this year. I dunno about that.

Posted by: SCSkin | October 14, 2007 2:58 PM | Report abuse

Great job by Aikman breaking down The Reaper's pick.

Posted by: P Diddy | October 14, 2007 2:58 PM | Report abuse

WHY do you get cute on 3rd and 1???????? RUN THE DAMN BALL.

Posted by: P Diddy | October 14, 2007 2:59 PM | Report abuse

Dear Idiot Al...

Just hand the damn ball off to Sellers on short yardage...Don't get cute.

IDIOT

Posted by: Anonymous | October 14, 2007 2:59 PM | Report abuse

catch the damn ball!!!!!

Posted by: noone from tampa | October 14, 2007 2:59 PM | Report abuse

D better get a turnover because O is sputtering this half.

Posted by: talent evaluator | October 14, 2007 2:59 PM | Report abuse

Ugh gotta get those 3rd downs.

Speaking of the Reaper. Where is jm220? Wasn't Eid-ul Fitr a couple days ago?

Posted by: sfskin | October 14, 2007 3:00 PM | Report abuse

scskin... don't bring that up again!!!

5 dropped passes? Are they waiting until 3rd down to drop all these passes?

Posted by: Dorf | October 14, 2007 3:00 PM | Report abuse

I think the play call was just fine. Sellers just didn't hold onto it.

Posted by: JustMe | October 14, 2007 3:01 PM | Report abuse

They can't keep playing Moss just because he's Moss....Moss looks like Lloyd today and Lloyd actually looks like he's trying today.

Posted by: Anonymous | October 14, 2007 3:01 PM | Report abuse

Pretty lame Saunders hate, anonymous. Ball was right in Sellers hands for a good gain. Good play call by Saunders. Bad executiong by Sellers.

Posted by: talent evaluator | October 14, 2007 3:01 PM | Report abuse

SCSkins, he is celebrating the INT record with another bratwurst.

Posted by: SMACK | October 14, 2007 3:01 PM | Report abuse

I love big Mike and all, but not sure that's the right call when you need 2.

Posted by: Pulldownclaw | October 14, 2007 3:01 PM | Report abuse

okay my wife is such a bad luck for the skins and she's sitting right by me

Posted by: dealer | October 14, 2007 3:01 PM | Report abuse

That was a very bizarre play call. It's raining, it's cold, it's smash mouth football weather, it's a day when your receivers are dropping things and slipping all over the place. Man up and run it up the gut. I don't get it. All the conditions dictate a run.

And, yet Weird Al passes.

Posted by: P Diddy | October 14, 2007 3:02 PM | Report abuse

ATTACK YOU IDIOT!

Posted by: DORF | October 14, 2007 3:02 PM | Report abuse

I love big Mike and all, but not sure that's the right call when you need 2.

Posted by: Pulldownclaw | October 14, 2007 03:01 PM

It was the right call, alright. It was the wrong execution. Stop trying to blame Saunders when the player screws up.

Posted by: talent evaluator | October 14, 2007 3:03 PM | Report abuse

Heh. Thanks SMACK.

'Fins score another TD to raise RC's hopes, jsut so they can be dashed again.

Posted by: SCSkins | October 14, 2007 3:04 PM | Report abuse

Et tu, Diddy? Come on. Sellers blew it, not Saunders.

Posted by: talent evaluator | October 14, 2007 3:04 PM | Report abuse

maybe a nice call by Saunders but the trend is that we're dropping passes on third down for whatever reason - so maybe we should run

Posted by: mmok | October 14, 2007 3:08 PM | Report abuse

Madden Curse Update!
Tennessee quarterback Vince Young left Sunday's game against Tampa Bay with an apparent leg injury after scrambling for a 2-yard gain and being pushed out of bounds midway through the third quarter.
Young began limping just as defensive tackle Jovan Haye gave him a shove as last year's NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year crossed the sideline. Young stumbled forward before falling to the ground.
He remained on the ground for a couple of minutes before being helped to his feet and remaining on the sideline. He was replaced by Kerry Collins and soon after headed into the locker room.

Posted by: Cindy | October 14, 2007 3:08 PM | Report abuse

Need a pick, right here.

Posted by: talent evaluator | October 14, 2007 3:08 PM | Report abuse

Saunders is the one who called the play to have Sellers catching a pass...when he knows damn well that Sellers drop a lot of passes like that.

Giants game wasn't so long ago.

This game is looking a lot like that game. Offense goes 3 and out thanks to Al's stupidity.

Defense doesn't get a breather. Packers control the clock.

Just like the Giants game

Posted by: Anonymous | October 14, 2007 3:09 PM | Report abuse

okay I've managed to get away

dealer - apparently you did it just in time.

Posted by: sfskin | October 14, 2007 3:10 PM | Report abuse

These refs are making lots of sketchy calls today.

Posted by: P Diddy | October 14, 2007 3:10 PM | Report abuse

Dodged indeed. We need to come out eat some field and clock and get a score. Any score. No flatness.

Posted by: sfskin | October 14, 2007 3:12 PM | Report abuse

We need the offense to step up with a long clock killing scoring drive about now. The D needs a rest.

Posted by: bigfish | October 14, 2007 3:12 PM | Report abuse

Hey, Sellers is the one beggin' for the ball. Maybe drops like that are why he doesn't get the rock as much as he would like to.

I'm just sayin'.

Posted by: SCSkins | October 14, 2007 3:13 PM | Report abuse

Anon,

Everyone on the Redskins drops a lot of passes. And, they have been doing a lot of fumbling this year too.

The play worked. Saunders is a genius. Sellers is the goat.

Posted by: talent evaluator | October 14, 2007 3:13 PM | Report abuse

How would it go over if you said to your wife, "Honey, you're bad luck. You need to leave."

I'm thinking that's not the right thing to do. Unless it's the Super Bowl.

Or a playoff game. Or a playoff-clinching game. In fact, I'd say it's okay any time except in pre-season.

Posted by: talent evaluator | October 14, 2007 3:15 PM | Report abuse

t-e, Priest Holmes would have caught that pass. And scored.

:-)

Posted by: P Diddy | October 14, 2007 3:16 PM | Report abuse

Anyone else think that the Rock (Cartwright) should go to the Pro Bowl this year?

Posted by: SCSkins | October 14, 2007 3:16 PM | Report abuse

The song they play in the Cadillac commercials is "Stars" by Hum. It's a few years old, but a nice song (in case anyone was wondering).

It has some "epic" qualities to it. (IMHO)

also, I would not date a chick with a gun attached to her thigh.

Turnover, now.

Posted by: talent evaluator | October 14, 2007 3:24 PM | Report abuse

Moss just isn't ready to play...probably come back early from injury

But its the coaches that are being senile and stubborn.

Moss stat for the day...Bunch of drops and fumble returned for INT

Posted by: Anonymous | October 14, 2007 3:24 PM | Report abuse

Okay. Nail biter. It's gonna be a nail biter. Not unexpected.

Posted by: sfskin | October 14, 2007 3:24 PM | Report abuse

Stop hating on Moss, nobody else (especially Lloyd) would have even gotten open. It was a he11 of a move. He is definitely having a bad game, but he's got to play through in order to get back in a groove.

Posted by: Skins fan in Philly | October 14, 2007 3:25 PM | Report abuse

Has never seen a receiver play more scared than Moss today

Posted by: Tom Flick | October 14, 2007 3:25 PM | Report abuse

take it easy, chicken littles.

Posted by: SCSkins | October 14, 2007 3:25 PM | Report abuse

Story of the game will be "whatever lesson Saunders and the offense learned from the Giants game only lasted one game"

Posted by: Anonymous | October 14, 2007 3:26 PM | Report abuse

How is it Moss's injury? It wasn't his hands that were injured.

Man hasn't had a good game all year. At least, not yet. But you can't give up on him.

Posted by: talent evaluator | October 14, 2007 3:26 PM | Report abuse

talent evaluator, playcalling has been great in a VACCUUMMMMMMMMMM!!! not in freezing rain on grass. tell his weird a$$ to get the fck on the field and see what the WEATHER is like...

JC seems like he hurt himself

Posted by: dealer | October 14, 2007 3:26 PM | Report abuse

agreed

Posted by: Anonymous | October 14, 2007 3:26 PM | Report abuse

If we traded Moss and Betts to Tampa Bay, maybe we could get Chris Simms or something.

:-)

USF Bulls #2 in one poll and #3 in the other Woohoo!!!

Posted by: noone from tampa | October 14, 2007 3:27 PM | Report abuse

New quarter. We just have to dig in and keep our heads in the game.

Posted by: sfskin | October 14, 2007 3:27 PM | Report abuse

I don't think there are any chicken littles. I, for one, just believe that they need to give some snaps to somebody else since we see what kind of day Moss is gonna have.

Posted by: JustMe | October 14, 2007 3:27 PM | Report abuse

JLaC forecast...

"And the Redskins collapse again in the second half. Joe Gibbs has been awful in half-time adjustments..."

JLaC will forget the poor execution of the players and blame it all on Gibbs and Saunders.

Posted by: SCSkins | October 14, 2007 3:28 PM | Report abuse

Rabach also has a groiner.
At first, I thought they continued to go to Moss because they thought he'd atone for his fumble. Now, I'm just plain baffled. You gotta not let that ball hit you on the helmet.

Posted by: Cindy | October 14, 2007 3:28 PM | Report abuse

Maybe we can trade Moss back to Jets for Coles

Posted by: Anonymous | October 14, 2007 3:28 PM | Report abuse

I can't think of the team blitzing at all today...anyone see one?

Posted by: P Diddy | October 14, 2007 3:28 PM | Report abuse

positive thoughts diddy!

Huge stop there.

Please...give JC some help!

Posted by: cosmofla | October 14, 2007 3:29 PM | Report abuse

on a positive note... the Defense is playing well.

Posted by: Dorf | October 14, 2007 3:29 PM | Report abuse

do they ever call tripping anymore!????!!! WTF!!

Posted by: dealer | October 14, 2007 3:29 PM | Report abuse

That was a dumb penalty on the punt.

Posted by: Cindy | October 14, 2007 3:29 PM | Report abuse

Dealer,

Plays have all been there. Cooley's been making consistent catches. Sellers, Moss have not. It's not the playcalling, it's the players.

Posted by: talent evaluator | October 14, 2007 3:30 PM | Report abuse

Okay we need to find the person who has the voodoo doll with an Skins uni and has stuck pins in the groins and hammies. This is ridiculous.

Posted by: sfskin | October 14, 2007 3:30 PM | Report abuse

C'mon Skins fans, let's keep our heads up. We are better than Green Bay. We need to make some plays here and we'll take it home!!

Posted by: cosmofla | October 14, 2007 3:30 PM | Report abuse

play calling is fine today JC has missed a couple easy throws and recievers have dropped a ton of passes

Posted by: LA | October 14, 2007 3:31 PM | Report abuse

beep beep

Posted by: sfskin | October 14, 2007 3:31 PM | Report abuse

Serious trip.

Playcalling is fine, agreed.

Posted by: cosmofla | October 14, 2007 3:31 PM | Report abuse

Yeah, that was a pretty blatant trip. Is that ever a penalty on the defense? It definitely is on the offense.

No blitzes that I can remember, but Man Boobs has definitely dropped the DTs into coverage all game and has taken away all those little drag and crossing routes the Packers love to call.

If it weren't for Rocky missing his assignment on that early long ball to their TE, this defense would have a perfect game.

Posted by: P Diddy | October 14, 2007 3:31 PM | Report abuse

I sorta wish we had the other R. Moss right now.

Posted by: SCSkins | October 14, 2007 3:31 PM | Report abuse

ooops just meant Moss.

Posted by: SCSkins | October 14, 2007 3:32 PM | Report abuse

AFter watching MOSS make the 10th Redskin drop of he day, offense and defense, I left the rest of the game to teh DVR,

Mostly U guys stinking today--MOSS and Taylor have half the drops.. Sold your soul to the devil, eh Joe" Now you get your payback. What a heartless stupid performance.

Also, Joe doesn't know yo9u can't win with old O linemen and NO depth. They GET HURT!!! The Redskins lost about two three other shos at a SB when when--if not past theri prime--past theri youth, Lachey or Jacobi went down for the season

And so help me, if that stinking Saunders and Gibbs doesn't drop that stinking 1942 era reverse that5 hasn't workd since Art Monk ran it, I'm gonna vote to impeach Gibbs from the HOF.

(Saunders will never be there. he can't adjust anything more complicated than his jock.)

Posted by: Corkdisgusted | October 14, 2007 3:32 PM | Report abuse

So, if I'm the coach and I see how it's going with the WRs, I go with Portis, Sellers, Cooley and JC keeper/play action.

Posted by: Cindy | October 14, 2007 3:33 PM | Report abuse

Great. Just fkn great.

need a short 1 and Al decides to call a pitch play and have Portis running parallel

I assume everyone knows that Comcast Cable has not been showing the 'Skins game since 1:30 due to some technical glitch. Unbelievable - that God for radio tho. Am I the only one who thinks that Sam Huff should have been retired from the booth about five years ago? He is an embarassment.

Posted by: Anonymous | October 14, 2007 3:36 PM | Report abuse

i cant believe we're losing this game....2 plays....the long play to Lee, and the moss fumble...if not they still have 3 points. effing ridiculous.

Posted by: kman | October 14, 2007 3:38 PM | Report abuse

I agree about Saunders. There's been some good things in this game but you do NOT pass on third and one with Portis on your roster and you do NOT try fleaflickers in the rain.

I hate the way our offense looks (in general, not just this game). We have the tools -- USE THEM!!!!!

Posted by: karlynn | October 14, 2007 3:39 PM | Report abuse

If Moss is on the field this drive, we are done.

Posted by: Anonymous | October 14, 2007 3:41 PM | Report abuse

I agree on the playcalling. It's looked skitzy since since Saunders showed up. When you have Portis in the backfield, you do NOT pass on 3rd and 1 to Sellers. And the trick plays, as always, look ridiculous.

The only reason it's sadder this season is because we have the tools on offense to really go somewhere and we have a kick-azz DEF. But this playcalling will do us in, as it should.

Posted by: sfskin | October 14, 2007 02:52 PM>>>

NOT if you have to fly SOUTHWEST airlines. The "Now you have the freedom of open seating" ad is funny, true, but sickening to anyone who has had to stand in line for an hour and still ends up in the last boarding group and has to take a middle seat on theri jam-poacked 737.

What Open seating REALLy MEANS is you can never EVER EVER reserve a seat on SW even if you book years in advance or unless you sit in the two seats in the very front of the plane in you snappy uniform..

An empoty seat on ANY SW flight is as scarce as a meal on any airline.

ANd by the way, while a 737 is not a small commuter plane, it is NOT a widebody, SW gives you NO footroom, the only thing short of being technically a cattle car is the mooing and cattle get something other than peanuts. So BE a victim of advertising dude. You're lucky you're not like us out west and fored to fly that airline.

Given a chocie, I'd take almost ANY other.

One thing they do right. No penalty to chang flights. That's a GOOD thing. Otherwise, you can have it.

this year is going to hurt

Posted by: Anonymous | October 14, 2007 4:04 PM | Report abuse

O Line is just devastated. You can't lose 4 starters from last year without severe impact. That last series was a fumble on the handoff and a sack - can't blame Moss for that. Can't run or pass without good blocking - just ask Steve Spurrier.

Posted by: Skins fan in Philly | October 14, 2007 4:04 PM | Report abuse

This is not a football team. How do you let 30 sec burn off the clock. This is horrible!!

THERE IS NO FING WAY YOU LOSE THAT GAME

Posted by: Uncle Spence | October 14, 2007 4:16 PM | Report abuse

This game disgusted me! The defense played tremendous, but once again the offense looked like crap. Campbell played well, but I've never seen Moss play so bad. And its not only this game, he lead the team in drops coming into today. I'm sick...

Posted by: redskins8085 | October 14, 2007 4:19 PM | Report abuse

How do you idiots blame AL??!! Your playmakers, the guys you depend on to lead, keep putting it on the ground or dropping perfectly thrown balls on perfectly executed plays. Put Moss on the shelf until he says he is perfect and ready to go. I don't care if they bring back Henry Ellard, they should never activate Lloyd again.

Posted by: DS | October 14, 2007 4:59 PM | Report abuse

I know the team tost today, but there are somthngs to hang your hat on...players got hurt nut other stepped in and played well. The defense help up better than anticipated. Even though Moss had a bad game ( I think t was a bad game not anything else) other receivers did and adequate job. They are not going to go 16- 0 and anf 10 - 6 is still possible.

When you trun the ball over more than they do you lose. Point blank.

HTTR.

P.S.

I have been against them and even though they should have won this game, they showed me a bunch.

Posted by: Skip in VA | October 14, 2007 5:07 PM | Report abuse

LOL Henry Ellard was the truth!! For the Rams and Skins

Posted by: redskins8085 | October 14, 2007 5:56 PM | Report abuse

Someone should check and see whether or not Moss had $ on the game or if he was point shaving. I mean he seemed to be trying real hard to screw this one up and didn't seemed all that concerned either.

Did he ask for more $ from Dan and get turned down or what.
