Trent Williams not on the field as practice begins

The Redskins' first round draft choice, offensive lineman Trent Williams, did not take the field when practice began at 4 p.m., indicating he and the team have not reached agreement on his contract. The two sides are likely to continue talks this evening. Williams, the No. 4 overall pick in this year's NFL draft, is expected to start the year at left tackle.

Also missing is disgruntled defensive lineman Albert Haynesworth who apparently did not pass the physical administered today and cannot practice with the team until he does. Haynesworth is not doing work on the side either. Coach Mike Shanahan is expected to address the situation when practice ends.

Weather may shorten the session.

He's just reporting on what he sees. Not every post has to be award winning material. Lame attempt at being snarky...

I actually laughed hard, but tried to stifle it - and farted. Do I open the door to my office and reveal myself or leave it shut and suffer the consequences?

Jesus, why did I have eggs this morning?

Well either there is NOTHING going on, or he isn't seeing anything.

I'm at work and there have been maybe 2 posts in 4 hours on the first day of camp.

Step it up RI. ESPN scooped them on AH failing the conditioning test. What's the delay? Supporting the local paper is better than having to sift through ESPN, SI links and stories, but when they're breaking stories and details before the beat writers of those papers, there's no incentive to check in.

According to the twitter feeds, Kelly is practicing albeit not at full speed. Galloway is lined up at #2 spot. D Thomas and M Kelly lined up with the 2nd offense. Will Robinson is at LT in absence of T Wiliams. Carriker is at RDE, Kemo NT and Gholston LDE. Alexander at OLB. No AH.
