Trent Williams practices, DeAngelo Hall doesn't

With drizzle falling on practice, Redskins left tackle Trent Williams returned to workouts Wednesday, but Coach Mike Shanahan said he does not yet know whether the rookie first-round pick will be back in the lineup Sunday at Philadelphia.

"He looked OK," Shanahan said. "Still a little bit sore, but he did get a chance to practice so that's a good sign."

Williams declined comment after practice. He originally suffered knee and toe injuries in a Sept. 19 loss against Houston, and was inactive in last Sunday's loss at St. Louis. His absence spurred some shuffling along the offensive line.

Cornerback DeAngelo Hall didn't practice Wednesday, Shanahan said. Hall, who worked out Monday and Tuesday and did not seek treatment, apparently suffered a minor back injury just before practice Wednesday.

"I think what happened to him was maybe something he did in the weight room before he came out," Shanahan said. "Anyway, I don't think it's too serious, but serious enough for him to miss practice."

I would imagine it gets pretty hot in that glass house you're living in Cali.

Anyone thought about sending Haynesworth to the Browns? I figure, if he's gonna play like sh*t and have a sh*tty attitude, he might as well play on the team whose color is the color of sh*t. This flush is for you Fat Al....
BAWOOSH!!!.......

This is actually what i responded to so get it straight.
He has played like he is the only guy other teams have any respect for, hence the double teams.

So Brandon Banks is back on the practice squad? Didn't see that announced anywhere...

Posted by: JohnnyRyde | September 29, 2010 3:17 PM

You wouldn't find news like that here...but he was pictured on the bench with CP in St. Louis I think.

monk

"Point is by now I WOULD settle for a 5th, but I would have already pulled the trigger on a 4th round pick."

I think it never happened when it should've as J Haslett had M Shanahan sold on the notion that the 3-4 needed AH playing nose tackle to work.

And it doesn't as he hasn't.

If the season keeps trending the way its going, I'd take 'whateva' over nothing, and send FAT AL back to the land of Jack Daniels.

We need picks.

Bad.

That's been happening a lot today.

Stu, I understand that he is getting doubleteamed, my point is that he is looking like he is moving in slow motion and I'm surprised other teams have not tried to single team him to see what happens.
Can you at least admit that he isn't the ProBowl player he was 2 years ago?

Posted by: monk811 | September 29, 2010 3:27 PM | Report abuse

Anybody know what picks we have next year?

Carter needs to be a hands down DE..He's playing like the shortcoming LB that SF gave up on- he's much better as a DE...This 3-4 transition is CRAP, especially with Haslett in charge..Defensive line is NOT getting penetration, and the offenses look totally prepared for the called defensive play, like Special Forces were bugging the signals, on the sly..We're slow and out of position, and the offenses look like they know exactly what the call is..This SUCKS!!!

TWill must play.

Who's the formidable all-world DE he's facing this week? Trent Cole? Yeah, SB has got to play.

I'm sure Cole's thinking that McNabb doesn't have on that red or yellow vest over his jersey anymore....

First of all I'm tired of all the Hayneswoth bashing,he did what he suppose to do,get double team ask Orakpo when he got that one sack.If ego -maniac coaches stop smelling their selves and let him play you would see a different defense come Sunday!

Hall hurt himself when he fell on his ass and watched the receiver run right around him......yeah, he's a shut down corner alright. This guy wouldn't start for most colleges...

I am sick of all the Haynesworth bashing also if it was not for him, we would not have gotten that one sack and anyone who keeps taking shots at him dont know football you are just running your mouths period.I know coach shanny better get his crap together and play him full time he is the only one who gets penetration through the line. The haters need to watch the game closer.

DA strained his back looking under the furniture for some shoes won't slip...

Maybe instead of running your mouth
You'll see you're in danger of heading south

Your fancy-ass shoes only helping you lose
Find some don't put you on your ass
Then you'll be showing some professional class

Lots of cheap talk about all this "pride"
Don't mean nothing
When you got no glide in your stride

"Those that say, don't know
Those that know, don't say"
So my advice to you:
STFU and just play...
