Could someone currently at FedEx Field, or with connection to someone currently at FedEx field during the game, please instigate a "SNYDER SUCKS" chant. I sincerely hope that it makes national television.

Interference on Cooley's back before the ball was there, btw.

This is some pretty absurd Red Zone playcalling.

Meanwhile, there are some crazy highlights throughout the NFL today. Drew Brees, Adrian Peterson, Andre Johnson. Meanwhile, at FedEx, we have some great Suisham highlights.

Posted by: PDiddy | September 20, 2009 2:55 PM | Report abuse

Damn worse play calling ever!!! This guy got to go!!!!!!!!

Posted by: jm220 | September 20, 2009 2:55 PM | Report abuse

BAD PLAY CALLING!! If your going to run that play run it on F$CKING FIRST DOWN.. They know your going to throw on third down.. WTF!.. ZORN U SIMPLY SUCK A$$

Posted by: Lacantwrite | September 20, 2009 2:56 PM | Report abuse

Zorn overthinks this game...he's outsmarting himself...no need to run that play there.

Just line up and throw it in the end zone...

Posted by: rickyroge | September 20, 2009 2:56 PM | Report abuse

WORST red zone offense ever.

Posted by: rachel216 | September 20, 2009 2:57 PM | Report abuse

Posted by: 1chazmo | September 20, 2009 2:57 PM | Report abuse

FG's aren't going to cut it. They are letting the Rams stay in the game.

Posted by: jiacinto | September 20, 2009 2:57 PM | Report abuse

Hey, mush for brains. You were up here last night saying we need to score 24 points. So, that means we have to get a FG, doesn't it?

Posted by: talent_evaluator | September 20, 2009 1:27 PM |
======================================

3 TDs, one missed extra point, 2 safeties, smart guy.
~

Posted by: ifthethunderdontgetya | September 20, 2009 1:34 PM

Eight field goals. Three down, five to go.

Posted by: talent_evaluator | September 20, 2009 2:57 PM | Report abuse

It's not just 1st and 2nd down run that's the issue. It's the draw plays in the Red Zone. I liked the 2nd down call (run off left guard). The 1st down call (a draw) is just stupid. Either run the ball down their throat or attack those safeties with Cooley or Fred Davis to loosen things up at the line of scrimmage.

The 3rd down call was silly. Just silly.

Posted by: PDiddy | September 20, 2009 2:57 PM | Report abuse

I'm waiting for the deep ball over Tryon.

Posted by: rickyroge | September 20, 2009 2:58 PM | Report abuse

I officially HATE JIM ZORN'S PLAYCALLING THAT'S NOW THREE TIMES IN THE END ZONE AND NO TD HE SUCKS THREE RUNNING PLAYS IN A ROW WHO THE HELL HE THINK HE IS.......

Posted by: dcskins08 | September 20, 2009 2:58 PM | Report abuse

3 plays inside the 10, 2 running back run, and one running back option play. Where is the QB, the team Captain, the Leader of this team, Jason Campbell, when you need him? I guess we know now why the owner was so intent on trying to trade the guy. I think it is pretty clear also not even Coach Zorn has confidence in Campbell. Can't wait for the owner to hire another loser to coach this team.

Posted by: JeanJak | September 20, 2009 2:58 PM | Report abuse

Does Zorn know that it is not against the rules to THROW the ball on 1st down when in the RED ZONE?!!!!!!

Just wondering b/c he didn't do it last week and hasn't done it this week.

Posted by: tomfoley1 | September 20, 2009 2:58 PM | Report abuse

Zorn overthinks this game...he's outsmarting himself...no need to run that play there.

Posted by: rickyroge | September 20, 2009 2:56 PM

I would have said that he underthinks the game, and he outstupids himself.

Posted by: talent_evaluator | September 20, 2009 2:58 PM | Report abuse

WOW!!!!!!!!! That RedZone was on Zorn. Who does he think he's fooling? Why is Montgomery in ahead of Rinehart. Is Rinehart that bad on "teams"?

SNYDER ARE U LISTENING?? PLEASE HIRE A PLAY CALLER ASAP!!! Zorn can stay HC for now.. just so we dont have any interuptions...

Posted by: cocodc1 | September 20, 2009 2:59 PM | Report abuse

We deserve to lose this game. We could've put this game away with three touchdowns already. I don't give any credit to the Rams defense for holding us to three field goals, Jim Zorn is holding us back. His playcalling in the red zone is horrendous.

Posted by: rachel216 | September 20, 2009 2:59 PM | Report abuse

who's more inept at doing his job? zorn or jc?

i say zorn. by a long shot. and that's saying a lot cuz i think jc don't belong on an nfl team.

this is a good game - evenly matched teams - should be a nail biter, who ever has the ball last wins

Posted by: coparker5 | September 20, 2009 3:03 PM | Report abuse

riggo44 Wow! Once again Zorn resorts to trickeration! No confidence in his offense doesnt feel his offense can force their will on Rams D 2 minutes ago

Riggo nailed it. Zorn is in over his head. This is a lousy defense that we can't score against. Zorn is done.

Posted by: gringoinmiami | September 20, 2009 3:04 PM | Report abuse

we should have had a touchdown on the ARE catch. Soup overthrew him and by him having to jump, the D closed on him.

Posted by: dieyoudogs | September 20, 2009 3:04 PM | Report abuse

Dear Mr. Snyder:

As a long time Redskins fan I implore upon you to do the right thing and PLEASE sell this team to someone who will take it back to the glory that once was.

For the first time in over 30 years I find myself just not able to watch any longer (on TV, nevermind go to the stadium)the disgrace that has befallen this organization.

You have made your investment many times over. Once again, PLEASE find another hobby. Hopefully one that will not bring heartache to millions of others.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

A bewildered once Redskins fanatic.

Posted by: rickyroge | September 20, 2009 3:02 PM

Dude, Sellars and Thomas both dropped TD passes. JC's done his job today.

Posted by: talent_evaluator | September 20, 2009 3:05 PM | Report abuse

This is pathetic. The Redskins are just as bad, if not worse, than a 2-14 team.

Posted by: jiacinto | September 20, 2009 3:06 PM | Report abuse

Big Al put the big hurt on Bulger's back, I guess.

Posted by: MrRedskin21 | September 20, 2009 3:07 PM | Report abuse

Well STL is burning timeouts. If this game comes to clock management at the end then the Rams are screwed, but I have a feeling that they won't have to worry about that.

Posted by: jiacinto | September 20, 2009 3:07 PM | Report abuse

dieyoudogs- I agree. Even though JC has played well, if he hit ARE in stride, it would've been a TD, but he overthrew him a little and El made a great catch. It's the little things...

Poor Lions... we might be the first to lose to them.

Posted by: rachel216 | September 20, 2009 3:07 PM | Report abuse

As much as you want to blame Snyder, he didn't drop those two touchdowns.

Snyder please do not sell this team.

have they called orakpo's name yet?

Posted by: coparker5 | September 20, 2009 3:04 PM

The Post should be happy - this game should end all debate about how to save money in the newsroom. For the past 15 years, the story-line is the same - an underperforming, dysfunctional, and putrid organization from top down across the board. Stop covering the team - have a reporter or two watch on TV, dust off old columns from the past, and slap a new date on them. No matter who the opponent is, the stories are the same. Just like TV did for this game when they rolled out the tape from last year's game against the Rams. The Rams will score a TD, enough to win, and if the Lions win the Skins will be on the road in another "trap" game - but every game is a "trap" game for the Skins - with a 1-2 record on the way to 1-3. The Post does a good job in trying to string out the coverage and talk about how early it is in the season, etc., but the reality is the Skins are not even an average team, much less a good team, over the past 15 years and the fanbase can see the signs in neon.

Man, I been told y'all about Zorn...

But it's not all on Zorn and his offense. The defense can't get off the field on third down...

And you all expect fans to cheer at the stadium? What the f do they have to cheer about... to feel positive about?

Posted by: cocodc1 | September 20, 2009 3:19 PM | Report abuse

A few observations over the last several years:

1) Given more than a nano second in the pocket, and a play call to do so, JC throws as good a deep ball as anyone in the league.

2) On average, JC has less than a nano sec to throw the ball and therefore is rarely ever asked to throw deep.

3) VINNY CERRATO SUX for not drafting a single O-lineman.

4) The Redskins have some of the sexiest cheerleaders in pro sports.

5) Number 3 cannot be emphasized enough.

It's not effing WCO, but it's what works for us.

I'm in my 40s, and I don't think I'll ever see the Skins score 30 pts again within my lifetime.

Loosing Randy Thomas is never a good thing, when you are thin on the offensive line in the first place. But we are THINNER at quaterback. The game is now OVER as I write this. Jason is a joke, sorry old man. You couldn't hit a bull in the but with a bass. No wonder you throw the short outs, the dump passes, all to pad meamingless stats. NO ONE, repeat NO ONE is affraid of you passing down the field. If we had a recvr open you would surely miss them. Is Todd busy next week?
