E-Mail Reveals LaCanfora to be Gibbs Hater

(70Chip) sent the following message on or about August 23, 2007:

Of course Kendall will start. We all know Joe is just covering for his guys. Don't take it so personally. He yelled at Steve Buckhants one time. It's all affectation. I would encourage you to get some Redskins employees to talk to you so you don't have to hunt down people from other teams. That way would be more "Insiderly.
--------------------------------------------

LaCanfora responds:

Gibbs treats people like they are morons, so I am calling him out on it. Don't insult that same fanbase you try to stroke all the time after you go 5-11.
trust me, i have no lack of people talking to me on this team, way more than gibbs can stomach. he can't stand the fact that i get the straight dope and don't write his dopish version of the truth in many instances (their crappy left side of the line a perfect case in point).
Thanks for reading.
Cheers.

Yes, it was a great punt and Brooks did it at a critical time! Last week, Brooks punted the same net average as Frost, who is having a career season. Brooks is only a rookie and should improve as he gains more experience. They just have to be patient with him.

Not sure how much you read, but Frost is about to get cut, for kicking low line drive punts just like he did here.

Clayton giving the straight dope. I always thought it was worth sitting a QB at least one year. 2-3 years is the most ideal time to sit and learn the system. That's why Aaron Rodgers is doing so well......

The Redskins can make a real statement with a road victory here. It won't happen. The Cowboys are too powerful on offense and the Redskins won't keep up. Jason Campbell or Tony Romo? Easy call.

Fan picks 97%-3%.

In all fairness, if Brooks was not a rookie, he would have been cut by now too. There's no way any of us would stand by his performances so far, except for the fact that we believe he'll improve as time goes on. And that's all JLC and Frost had said -- there was more at work than a straight-up competition between the two guys.

Just out of curiosity why would you even care what he says about him? JLA can't hold Gibbs' jock as far as I'm concerned but I have friends who are Dallas fans. I don't get upset with them. Truth is much of what Gibbs said was a waste of time. Many people up here made fun of stuff like, "Super Smart" "Up here" etc.

I'm not saying I like him saying stuff about Gibbs. I didn't like him calling the league because I believe it to have been done with Malicious intent but what is the obsession people? Just don't log on this blog. All you are doing is giving JLA more hits to his blog. In the end that is good for JLa.

You should never have stems or seeds in your dope. But if it's brown, you may want to cut that just a little. We're in the feel good business, not the killing business.

Well that was the reason they kept him over Frost, Frost has shown he is no good over the last couple years and the rookie has potential.

Oh and he is a rookie, so the what if does not work.

There was no need to have a fair competition Frost had a chance to out kick the kid and did not do it in preseason, he had less of a net average and the kid put more inside the 20.

Have Americans forgotten that, “Together We Stand and Divided We Fall”? In the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks we stood together as a nation, steadfast in our resolve to eradicate terrorism from the global landscape. Admittedly, mistakes have been made in our quest to do so, but I wonder if any of our elected officials have considered another option: Minding our own business. Why must The United States be the world’s policeman? We believe that America is the greatest country the world has ever seen and I would not hesitate to agree. However, as a nation, we should be taking care of our own. It is horrible that children are starving in remote corners of the world but what about children here at home who have little to eat? What about the domestic AIDS epidemic and other rampant social problems that do not receive enough attention and funding? Why spend billions liberating countries who have nothing but disdain for us and our way of life when that money could be better spent ensuring the education for our youth? If we looked harder at ourselves and strengthening our economy, our workforce, our schools, creating desirable jobs, defeating inflation, and meddled less in the internal affairs of other nations we may, once again, find that sense of pride as Americans that would help us cast off the divisive “hyphenated” American titles and emerge as an undivided and strong nation. We were once self-sufficient, proud and strong. We can be again. We should be again. It is our responsibility to care and to cast off the shackles of the recent past, to rise from the depths of apathy and to be great once more.

I am optimistic that Blaches 'Cobra' package will cause Romo some problems.

With Springs, LL, and Horton in you dont have to stick a LB on Witten, and you can roll some hard hitters towards TO, since we know he loves contact.

Last year (first game, not the one where Dallas didnt play) TO killed us (173 yards, 4 TDs), but neither Rogers nor Sean Taylor played in that game.

So by default I think our entire defense is better this time around.

I hope we saves a few packages and formations for this game. If we had a 1-5-5 or 2-4-5 in the bag to give em a new look that was not on their film.

Cyn City, if you're out there, wonder if anybody catches up with Bum Phillips to rap football, vis-a-vis his boy's reign as head coach of one of the Texas teams. Always a great quote, as I recall. Folksy. Maybe you guys oughta give him a buzz.

Bum quote: "Dallas Cowboys may be America's team, but the Houston Oilers are Texas' team."

Also: Asked what he is doing in retirement, Bum replies, "Nothin'. And I don't start doing that until noon."

Stockdale would be great, but he is unavailable. McCain will be replaced at tonight's debate by Tyco's new action figure "Tickle Me POW".

*in rock's voice* IT doesn't matter! the skins need to be skins of week 2,3 and TO the ball and be efficient in the red zone.

similarities usc=girls:
1. undefeated
2. hispanic qb
3. good running game
4. overrated
5. big point spread (11 points so far???)
6. hc of both teams is the dc
7. playing an "inferior" division foe
8. big o-line
9. speed at LB's
10. both have condoms named after them...sorta...

so if i was blache and zorn...i would do EXACTLY what the beavers did last night...

I am optimistic that Blaches 'Cobra' package will cause Romo some problems.

Posted by: Mattsoundworld | September 26, 2008 11:01 AM

Cobra? They're back? We defeated them years ago! I guess 'The Real American Hero' will just have to take them down again!

Yo Joe!

Suggested name change for the Washington Redskins: Gerbils, Little Rickies, Palins, GS8s, Humidity, Chubbies, Sprawl, Crawdads, Mildew, Mighty Green Anacostias, PotHoles, Assistant Deputy Directors...

The Redskins can make a real statement with a road victory here. It won't happen. The Cowboys are too powerful on offense and the Redskins won't keep up. Jason Campbell or Tony Romo? Easy call.

Fan picks 97%-3%.

They just had Redskins director of scouting Morocco Brown on Vinny's show. Interesting. I had no idea that Don Warren was also a scout for us.

Agreed, Alex. I let out a big WTF at work when I saw the cast for that movie. But then again, I let out a big WTF when they announced Heath Ledger would play the Joker and he ended up turning in a legendary performance...

The Vinny show:
You know some people are going to hate on Vinny and his show (for that matter everything he does) no matter what (Czab, Andy, JLA). The big thing that Andy and Czab were whinning about when the show was announced was how can he have time to do a two hour show (is the show only on Fridays or Friday and Monday I have heard both) but at any rate at most 4 hour show a week when he has football stuff to do. Andy Polly was like plus you have to prep at least 4 hours a week but I don't see what Vinny has to prep for he is mostly talking Skins and some other NFL stuff, stuff he knows he doesn't have to go out and research it for the show. The Skins could win 3 super bowls have great drafts and they would still find something wrong with him they a bunch of haters!!

Not only that the show is pretty good gives you some insight into how things run, like now they talkin to Morroco Brown about how scouting works and what happens, gives you some real "Redskin Insider" stuff. Hail Vinny!!

Donnie Warren was a beast of a blocking tight end. Will Cooley and Dean ever be as good as the Warren/Clint Didier duo? Don't anyone tell that blowhard D-O-C to post, we will never get a word in once he starts talking about how great he was. By the way, does Doc Walker EVER admit when he is wrong? He should really be a politician with all of his flip floppin on the air.
