Web Chat at 11 on Washingtonpost.com

In the words of spunky Pat Benatar, hit me with your best shot.
I am predicting a boatload of Shawn Springs questions, and stuff about the corners.
We shall see.

UPDATE: I can't get into my email right now - we are rebooting the server I am told, whatever that means - so I may be a few minutes late because I have to go through my washpost email to log-in to answer questions on the chat.
So as soon as the email lets me in I'll be over there.
Cheers.

What's your best guess at what going through 'the other receiver's' head right now? Specifically, do you think Lloyd thinks he's actually putting forth a good effort (never mind the lousy results)?

Heard JLaC on WTWP this morning on the NAter's version of the Tony Kornheiser Show.

Anyway, came in at the end but JLaC was ripping Smoot and said he never will be physical. And that they need to continue to run the combo of Portis/Betts on Monday night.

Just passing along to get us back on the right track.........

From Jasno's chat:

"Arlington, Va.: Jason -- can you give any updates with Brandon Lloyd's reaction to the signing up Caldwell. Have the coaches given any indication that Lloyd is most likely not in the teams long term plans or are they in a wait and see mode?

Jason La Canfora: the fact they have been bringing in any WR with a pulse for the last 3 months is about all you need to know. that and the fact that he has been a huge bust to this point. ..."

bangkokben: In fairness, it might also be worth having a poll for Lloyd, Brandon's first catch for a TD. Even in crapitude, certain Skins find an acorn, for example, Brunell's NFL record for that game where he threw the most consecutive receptions.

look, he'll be on the roster - barring him doing crazy stupid - and will have a chance to show what he can do, but if not they'll move on. that's the way it goes.

There's nothing inherently wrong with having a big ego. It's when the ego to talent ratio is out of whack that it's comical. After all, Ocho Cinco has the biggest of all the egos, but man does he back it up on the field. I love that guy.

Meanwhile, some of these other guys...

I think we throw the option pass in there early against Philly. I think Joe and Al want to get a fast start. If we can make this team 1 dimensional. If we can get a lead it will help the D tremendously with Westbrook running being taken out.

The Skins website has a poll question today ...

"What's the key matchup for the Redskins in Monday's game against the Eagles?

- Portis-Betts vs. Eagles run defense

- Pass protection vs. Eagles blitz

- Todd Wade vs. Jevon Kearse

- Run defense vs. Brian Westbrook

- Blitz packages vs. Donovan McNabb

- Other matchup"

I also was thinking that Jevon Kearse used to line up over Jansen. How do I find out whether my ludicrous research was useful? [When I say useful, I mean like how blogging is useful.] Also to etrod, you got ANYTHING today re: Sean Taylorisms?

I'm going on the mini soap box for a moment.
I don't honestly understand why people like Nater just keep going and going and going. I suppose if you're 13 you think it's funny forever but even people who live in their mama's garage at 36 years old must get bored with this kind of shti after a while.
I mean are is your life that pathetic and your world that small and your humor that lame that you keep razzing a guy whose been nothing but nice? And who, like lots of us hamsters, has repeatedly acknowledged that our "cool" lives are not so cool afterall because of this blog but we keep coming back cause we love it, the Skins, football but know not to take life so seriously? We know we're lame dude, we embrace it but we aren't mean about it (well sometimes) so why oh why oh why be such a deuche?
Sure you're sitting there thinking hey I may be a deuche but you all are a bunch of losers. Well hey guess what guy, you're a loser and a deuche and that means the world is a little less nice cause of you. So thanks.

Hmmm after that I think I should I go suck my thumb and color. Didn't mean to sound whiny but eh? Whatcha gonna do?
