It's a Ballgame Now, at the Half
Big 10-point swing for the Skins. It looked like they were imploding, then they won every phase of the second quarter and trail 17-10.
If the defense could hold on to one of those picks it would be a big boost, but at least Moss and Portis are involved in the game now, Campbell closed the half looking better, and the Bengals have largely returned to form.
This exposed some more flaws for sure - and the Moss celebration penalty is about as troubling as can be coming from a team leader with the team behind 17-7 - but they should be able to win this thing if they commit no more turnovers and cut back on penalties.

I'm super proud of this team. They've clamped down on Carson Palmer, Corey Dillon, etc and find themselves right back in the thick of things. Fight your guts out boys!

Even if they win this game. There are a lot of concerns coming out of this game.

Portis needs to put up some numbers in the 2nd half. His longest run from scrimmage is only 31 yards. Cincinatti's starting HB gets 79 yards on a screen. Something Portis should be doing if he is so frickin great.
Defensively it looks like this week had a huge effect on their morale. Let's hope it doesn't end the season for them.

It looks like CIN is reverting back to CIN and WAS is showing some dignity, but I'm not going to be optomistic quite yet. Whatever the case I hope that Zorn is screaming at the team, turning tables, and on fire in the lockerroom.

Well, it's bearable now, for the moment.
It seems obvious that Moss' "me,me,me" celebration in the endzone has everything to do with Portis getting away with his rant this week. It's time to lay down some heavy, heavy monetary fines.
The two replacement tackles are not stinking up the joint like I thought they would, with the exception of not being able to line up.
I still don't think that this team will make the playoffs, even if they win today.

This is one of the dumbest teams in the NFL. What is Santana's Moss major malfunction? If I was Zorn, he would not be back on the field in this game.
Can we please draft some O-Line & D-Line players? And NO MORE PLAYERS FROM "THE U"!!! These guys are nothing but a bunch of selfish showboats with zero football intelligence...we don't need them.
Finally, whoever is making the decisions on our challenges this year must also be "U educated" because I think we have only gotten 1 right all year....probabaly too busy polishing his shoes to pay attention to the game.

This is clearly an issue of an owner who allowed players--or, in the case of the Redskins, one specific player--to undermine the coach on a radio station that the owner owns himself. And now the team is suffering. I would assume that, should the Redskins lose this game, Zorn will not be returning next year. Part of me thinks that Snyder might even fire Zorn after the game.

Feb. 15, 2021
Washington Post Article:
Dan Snyder, owner of the luckless Washington Redskins, has announced plans to move his team to Oakland, after the 11th dismal season record in a row. "I wanted to have the team in a town where the fans are used to losing", Snyder said. "We'll fit right in here, with the history of the previous Oakland team and the fantastic dedication of its late, great, legendary owner, Al Davis", quipped Vinny Ceratto.
Upon the death of Mr Davis, the Raiders were sold to a group of former Redskins fans and moved to Burke, VA. The team changed it's name to the Burke BadBoys and have since won two Super Bowls under the coaching direction of Daryl Green, former Redskins Hall of Famer.
Sources at the WAPO have cited declining revenues and fan attendance, which began after the 2008 season when Vinny Ceratto was promoted to Head Coach and Big Guy Supremo as a major factor in Mr. Snyders' desperate decision to move the failing franchise. Sports Editor Jasno Reid cited pathetic attendance figures, hostility to Snyder, and continued apathy to the team as deciding factors.

JHC! I watched the PopWarner championships yesterday and saw more imaginative, advanced playcalling than JZ's! 3- yard pass right, run up to 1 gap, run up the 2 gap, 4 yard pass left.

Gotta hold em here. One more score by the Bungles and it's curtains for 08 baby. Then we gotta get the ball back and score the tying td for sure this time. There is no more wiggle room here baby. Hitch up ur jock strap, bust em in the chops or come on back to DC crying to mama.
