Steady Eddie, er, Jason (Campbell)

Jason Reid, rocking the pinstripes today, looks at Jason Campbell's sterling seven-game start.

And let's predictify while we wait for the locker room to open and practice to begin.

I hope it's ARE and Moss. I'd like to see JC come out in this game and throw Multi Td's and 300+ in a win.

Man the Lions are a terrible team to defend. Calvin Johson is literally all that they have. QB's Orlovsky, Drew Stanton & Drew Henderson, thats tough to choose from. Kevin Smith is an upincoming RB, but not this week against our D, Rudi is his backup, wont be too worried when he get in. Furry could be considered a decent slot guy.
On D is the worst they dont have any players to worry about matcup wise.
They have a Manny Ramirez on their O-line and the Truth should be happy they got Greg Blue, notorious sh*t talker on the beanch at saftey, way to do that SEC proud.

is there anything worse than getting beeped for a Redskins Unrestricted?

repost:

The Caps lost last night, and I am sad....

Flounder, JLC had zero to do with that RB carries article....trying reading before begining your knee jerk responses...it helps...

Re: Peter King. He has been pro-skins lately, so I cut him some slack...yeah he was anti-Monk but his flip flop is the reason he got in...so he's in...drop it. He doles out HJs to Zorn and Campbell like he works at a dowbtown Rub n Tug joint.

You try reading, I said the guy JLC got the story from needs to do research.

Positive outlook predictions for this game:

- Passing game gets healthy again

- Ahaun Alexander has "come back game" by rushing for over 75 yards and a TD while spelling CP and in garbage time

- We win the Turnover battle for the first time since the Dallas game.

- Season high sack total.

- First game where Carter/Taylor bookends have 3+ combined sacks

Now your doubly wrong, dare I say "floundering" as Cindy posted the item, and gave citations to both "The League" section of wapo.com and the writer from The Football Outsider....than in the comments she said JLC had nothing to do with the post.

Your attacks are more effective when their is at least a whiff of accuracy....

Posted by: chrislarry | October 22, 2008 10:19 AM | Report abuse

wait, is that a bunch of positive posts, you mean when things are going well the beat writer writes positive stuff, and if things go bad he is critical. Wait, you mean most news and beat people once the season has started are reactionary and the tone of their work typically follows along with a team's win loss record. Wait you mean it might not actually be a personal thing for JLa and he might just be reporting on the team and doing his job......that's so weird.

Cindy,

I am digging this predictify!

On another note, we can clearly see there are non-skins fans that visit RI, just by looking a some of the votes.

Peter King still hates on us. Look where we are on his rankings.........

No way we can look past the Lions. We already lost to one winless team........

Looking at Reids face reminded me that he picked Clevland to beat us......

What a joke. Has he eaten his words in any of these vids?

Joe - voted for Charles Johnson/Kevin Smith duo. Makes sense to me. CJ is a beast. I think we ca ncoontain him, but he'll still do his damage (in mop up duty).....

CL - The jury is still out to me with SA37.........

Great line by Czab on the Sports Reporters:
"On defense you've got Ernie Sims playing with 10 holograms."

who gives a crap about power rankings?? I mean honestly.....

Activate Malcom Kelly? You're kidding right? please tell me that you're puttin me on!!If Vinny can tear himself away from his radio show he could start preparing a draft day trade so we can recoup one of our draft picks from the Jason Taylor swindle that Parcells pulled on us.Kelly, after he gets healthy(wishfull thinking)for a fourth or a fifth, we need to start stockpiling picks if at all possible.Sunday's emphasis should be on the passing game and taking this game seriously on both sides of the ball.
Posted by: dargregmag | October 22, 2008 10:19 AM

Not sure if you are saying this tongue-in-cheek or not.....
But anyway, yeah, I am serious about activating Kelly assuming he's healthy. If we get a safe lead, put the kid in and let's see what he can do. You say yourself that Sunday's emphasis should be on the passing game........

Posted by: BeantownGreg | October 22, 2008 10:38 AM

I don't. I'm commenting on Peter King and using his rankings as proof.

Oh yeah, Malcom Kelly will BEAST OUT the 2nd half of the Season. And you can take that to the bank........

CL,

I do not know what crawed up your a$$ today, but I was attacking no one I simply stated the guy that wrote the story needs to do research.

Sorry I should have said the guy Cindy got the story from.

Posted by: Flounder21 | October 22, 2008 10:42 AM | Report abuse

dl, you're trying to use logic with a guy who suggested trading a 2nd round pick for a 4th or 5th 7 games into the 2nd round picks rookie season....sometimes there is no reasoning with people....

Posted by: BeantownGreg | October 22, 2008 10:44 AM | Report abuse

Yes, I hope they've learned their lesson the last TWO weeks. Don't worry about next week, 'cause this week will git 'cha.

No need to go Lion Hunting, k Cooley?...

People really think we're going to throw more than run? I'm surprised. Why would we throw against the league's worst run-d? Sorry if I missed it...

RAVENS BACKTRACK ON SUGGS “BOUNTY” COMMENTS
Posted by Mike Florio on October 22, 2008, 10:04 a.m.
So after posting our item about Ravens linebacker/defensive end Terrell Suggs saying on 2 Live Stews that the Ravens have an open bounty against Steelers receiver Hines Ward (and a closed one against Steelers running back Rashard “My Shoulder!” Mendenhall), we asked NFL spokesman Greg Aiello for clarification on the bounty rules.
“Are there penalties for merely having bounties?” we asked. “Or does the team have to act on them before there’s a sanction?”
And, yeah, we mentioned Suggs’ comments, but only to “provide context.” (We learned that one from the Washington Post.)
Aiello asked us where Suggs said anything about bounties, so we forwarded the audio to him.

Cause they have the worst pass Defense as well. This game is going to be fun. Just give me one where im not fretting till the last second.

Posted by: Stu27 | October 22, 2008 10:58 AM | Report abuse

I think that Thomas, Kelly, Davis, and Alexander (Shaun not Lorenzo) should play the entire second half assuming we have the lead we should at halftime. And for that matter, Taylor and Griffen should sit the whole game and if we have the lead we should Marcus should sit the second half. We have a game with Pitt next week that is gonna be brutal, we need to get our guys as healthy as possible, I hope we get up early and can rest Moss and Portis for the second half.

Posted by: zjfr2 | October 22, 2008 11:01 AM | Report abuse

Stu, ok - I'll bite. Let's give CP some rest and let Alexander get his feet whet!

Hate to say it but the Skins have been playing down to their competition for 17 years now. If they blowout the Lions, consider it a bonus but don't expect this to be a cakewalk. No NFL team wants to go winless and they are getting all kinds of 'hate' (Larry Michael's fave word) from their fans and the media. I expect them to come out and throw out everything, including the kitchen sink! Still seems like a classic 'trap' game and the Skins haven't proven they can consistently put the ball in the endzone. They've been a poor first half team and they need to break that trend or they'll give the Lions a glimmer of hope and that's all that team needs.
