The Louisiana Democrat (denim shirt) and 11-year-old Mary Shannon (in an equestrian costume) rang doorbells on a block of East Capitol Street that was marked by an elaborately partisan Halloween display -- McCain as a devil, Obama as an angel.

Sarah Jessica Parker with a party of 12 at the Palm in D.C. on Friday night, presumably back for more work on the "Washingtonienne" series she's producing. Ordered a N.Y. strip, a hearts-of-palm salad -- hold the parsley.
