Hmmm ... don't remember Tom Daschle sporting these funky red glasses when he was in the Senate. Now the proposed HHS secretary looks so ... Thomas Dolby? Alton Brown? Sally Jessy Raphael!

I'm Tom's age and sport red-rimmed specs, too. They're much easier to spot without glasses. My old metal rimmed ones might as well have been invisible when resting on a newspaper or wooden table.
