  • Country singer Mindy McCready was taken to a Nashville hospital Wednesday after what police described as a suicide attempt -- pill overdose and slashed wrists. She was said to be in stable condition yesterday. It's been a rough decade since her last big hits: a drug charge in 2004, then jail earlier this year for violating probation.
