Hey, Isn't That. . . ?

Oh, you know who. (Getty Images)

Special inaugural edition

  • Oprah Winfrey -- first D.C. inaugural weekend sighting! (that we know of. . . you all holding back on us?) -- passing through Bourbon Steak, the restuarant at the Four Seasons, Saturday night, with best pal Gayle King. Didn't linger; they seemed to just be looking for someone. Both in sweater dresses, looked great.

  • Jay-Z causing a commotion simply by walking through Pentagon City Mall Saturday afternoon en route to. . . Carol's Daughter, a beauty and skincare boutique. Hmmm, someone's birthday coming up? No, actually, he's an investor in the chain.

  • Beyonce, stepping out of a stretch limo on Georgetown's M Street and into a CVS drugstore Saturday morning. Dark clothes, flowing hair. Taller than you expect! She's performing at the Lincoln Memorial and the official presidential Neighborhood Ball.

  • Jamie Foxx stopping by a party at The Park at 14th nightclub late Saturday (after performing with Chuck Brown at the Tom Joyner tribute at Lincoln Theater). Sipped water while his friends danced around the third-floor VIP.

  • Sarah Silverman dining with another woman at Vegetate, a veggie restaurant in Shaw, Saturday night. Casually dressed -- jeans and sweater. She's due at an Impact Film Fund party at Fur.

  • The guys from Maroon 5 devouring sushi and South African bordeaux at Oya downtown Saturday night. They're performing at a big Jessica Alba-hosted fundraiser for Declare Yourself Sunday evening.

  • Damon Wayans surrounded by adoring female fans in a second-floor corner at the Park at 14th nightclub party hosted by Common Friday night.

  • Queen Latifah running a quick shopping errand in the lingerie department at Macy's downtown Friday night. Graciously posed for one photo, but most people left her alone. (Said another shopper: "You don't bother a woman when she's surrounded by bras.")

  • Jon Bon Jovi lingering over a long meal Friday with a half-dozen friends at Posto in Logan Circle. Black turtleneck, rear table. A fan buttonholed him outside the men's room to welcome him to Washington. "I'm happy to be here, but it's just so cold," he replied. "Can't the Inauguration take place in the summer?" Good idea! JBJ will be performing at Sunday's Lincoln Memorial concert and Tuesday's Commander-in-Chief Ball.

  • Josh Groban -- another star in the Lincoln Memorial lineup -- dining with a dozen new friends at Zengo Friday. Black sweater, white shirt, jeans, super-humble, the perfect guest. Had the cod, the tuna tataki, the ceviche sampler. The dinner was hosted by D.C. lawyer and Obama finance guy Howard Gutman -- who tipped an extra $20 beyond the 18 percent gratuity.

But surely there are more by now. . . Please send your sightings to, and we'll post updates.

Yeah, I bet JBJ would like a summer inauguration ... he's much more of a beach guy than a ski slope guy. But, dang he sounded great in NYC on Thursday night - looking forward to hearing him this weekend!

I wouldn't know any of these people if I tripped over them. Big Deal.

There's gotta be more than this...

Jaime Foxx was at Josephine before the Park on Saturday night. He was very low-key and kept to himself. Wasn't a diva and didn't really drink. Kinda boring actually but i did get to touch his shoulder as he passed by me! :)
