Another Chicagoan heads east: Sam Kass, who had worked for the Obamas as a private chef, is taking a job as an assistant White House chef. He'll be working for Cristeta Comerford, the executive chef from the Bush years who's been held over by the new administration. (The hiring was first reported by a New York Times blog.)
Actors are like wrestlers -- you never know when they're for real. Mickey Rourke announced on the SAG Awards red carpet Sunday that he'll move from acting in "The Wrestler" to the real thing at a WWE showdown in April, then proceeded to trash-talk Chris Jericho, threatening to throw him "around the ring like tossed salad." He's going to wrestle -- really? "You never know what's going to happen at the 25th anniversary of 'WrestleMania,' " WWE rep Rob Zimmerman told us cryptically.
