Youth Ball, Part III
DeNeen Brown reports:
Musician Usher has this to say about Obama: "He's pretty cool. Old school is good."
"The dance was incredible," Usher adds, speaking of the ball slow dance Barack Obama and Michelle did earlier in the evening, swirling slowly to jazz. Old school dance, old school song.
It was the speech earlier today "that was impeccable," Usher said. "I was very, very emotional looking at the stage, seeing the 44th president. Think about it.... Our ancestors came as slaves. The conditions we endured. The segregation that plagued our society.... So many people made sacrifices. For this to be reality now.... We have an African American president. President Barack Obama."
Usher performed on Sunday with Stevie Wonder and Shakira during the opening ceremony at the Lincoln Memorial. He said performing at the Lincoln Memorial before thousands of people lining the reflecting pool was remarkable. "I was like, 'Wow.' It was remarkable to see that many people in a crowd. I've performed for large crowds before but I was blown away."

I believe the song The Obamas danced to was a jazzed-up version of "At Last".
