Oprah and best pal Gayle King visiting Michelle Obama at the White House yesterday afternoon. The two were back in Washington for a hush-hush interview with the first lady for an upcoming piece in O magazine. Is it possible for someone other than Oprah to be on the cover? Could be another first!

Val Kilmer -- still in town, apparently! -- dining at Sushi-Ko in Glover Park with what seemed to be a political strategist: The movie star/prospective candidate for New Mexico governor was overheard saying how he'd never be so dumb as to not pay taxes, unlike some politicos. Black wool blazer, jeans, black boots, black ball cap on his shoulder-length hair.
