Facing a New Fight

Multimillionaire Washington businessman Joe Robert is in intensive care after brain surgery yesterday at the National Institutes of Health. At a dinner Wednesday night, members of the real estate investor's board were told doctors had discovered growths presumed to be cancer. The high-profile philanthropist, 56, is the founder of the Fight Night benefit and has raised millions for local arts and charities.
