Usher's wife suffered a medical crisis over the weekend, the singer's rep confirmed in a statement yesterday, saying that Tameka Raymond, 37, is in stable condition after "complications from routine surgery in Brazil." (Does "routine surgery" mean something different in showbiz circles?) The couple married in 2007 and have two children.
Shepard Fairey filed a preemptive suit against the Associated Press, asking a federal judge in N.Y.C. to rule that he did not violate copyright law in using an Associated Press photo to create his famous Barack Obama poster because he says he dramatically altered the image. The AP, which says it is owed credit and compensation, was in settlement talks with the artist but had not yet taken legal action.
