  • Ted Kennedy turned 77 on Sunday, but his big party comes March 8 at the Kennedy Center: Lauren Bacall, Bill Cosby, Bernadette Peters, John Williams, Hal Prince, James Taylor, Denyce Graves and Brian Stokes Mitchell will headline a musical salute to the senator from Massachusetts.

  • Two of the child actors from "Slumdog Millionaire" will be moved with their families from a Mumbai slum to new homes, local officials announced, in return for the honor they brought their country.
