Rep. Linda Sánchez Ties the Knot

So much for the first unwed mom in Congress!
Rep. Linda Sánchez and beau Jim Sullivan quietly tied the knot in Hartford, Conn., April 13, more than a month before she's due to give birth. A justice of the peace did the honors for them in the offices of Rep. John Larson, the mutual friend who introduced them.
The Southern California Democrat, 40, told us she and "Sully," 43, had intended to wait for a big family wedding sometime after their baby is born. But as her May 20 due date drew closer, she changed her mind. "No matter what age, with labor and delivery there are risks involved," she said. "If there's a need, who is the person I trust most to make decisions?"
Only a couple of friends and Sully's three young sons were present for the civil ceremony. They'll still do a church thing later.

"They'll still do a church thing later."

One less slut in Congress. It's a good thing.

Congratulations to Ms. Sanchez! I think it's a wise decision to do this, even if the "big church thing" takes a while.
