- Martin Scorsese will receive the Jack Valenti Humanitarian Award on April 21, the Motion Picture Association of America plans to announce this morning. He'd be the second winner of the biennial prize, after Clint Eastwood in 2007. MPAA Chairman Dan Glickman cited the director's work in preserving and protecting classic films.
- A choreographer known for his work on "So You Think You Can Dance" was arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting four dance students. Los Angeles police say Alex Da Silva, 41, used ruses to lure the students to his home on separate occasions; one was a minor at the time.
