An occasional look at the stream of celeb-vocates traveling here to show Washington the way of truth. Yesterday's showbiz angel: the inimitable Angelina Jolie.
Cause: World Refugee Day.
Site: National Geographic Society headquarters.
What she wants: For nations to open their borders to uprooted victims of conflict. "They are survivors. And they can bring those qualities to the service of their communities and the countries that shelter them."
How she looked: Oh, you know, pretty good. Loose hair, black knit top, black pants, black peep-toe pumps. Also: super thin.
Backup: U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees António Guterres, "Today" show globalist Ann Curry. Hillary Clinton canceled after she fell and broke her elbow the night before.
By the way: She and Brad Pitt just gave $1 million to the U.N. refugee agency to help displaced Pakistanis.
