The "Real World" kids making their D.C. live-music debut at the 9:30 club Tuesday for Vienna-based My Favorite Highway. The cast member ID'd as Erica took the stage to sing a song with the headliner, The Cab. Lots of MTV cameras there to chronicle the scene. Why this, of all local bands? Unclear, but the group, getting a big push from Virgin Records, is an MTV fave, heard on "The Hills" and "The City."
Sen. Dick Durbin catching Second City's "Barack Stars" at Woolly Mammoth Theatre on Tuesday. The Illinois Democrat is the first political heavy hitter the Obama administration satire has lured thus far (though John Kerry and Arlen Specter attended a reception at the theater earlier in the evening).
