In today's Names & Faces: Chris Brown is sentenced to five years probation and six months community labor for beating former girlfriend Rihanna in February. He will serve his sentence in Virginia. Meanwhile: Melanie Griffith checks into rehab, Paula Abdul will host "VH1 Divas," and Oprah Winfrey teases an upcoming book club announcement.

Elsewhere in Style: A&E orders a reality series about the Jackson family, Lisa de Moraes reports. Michael Cavna profiles Dan Schneider, who comes up with all those hit Nickelodeon shows that kids crave.
