Reliable Source is taking a two-week break and returns Sept. 1. In the meantime, Names & Faces will keep up with celebrity news, and we'll post here daily with some other things Amy and Roxanne think you'd enjoy. Tips? Sightings? As always, send 'em to email@example.com.
Good morning, everyone. Have you seen Jenny Sanford's latest media foray? She poses for the September issue of Vogue, and tells the mag some more things about estranged hubby/South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford's affair: "Everybody would like an escape sometimes. I'd like somebody 5,000 miles away I could e-mail. It's not exclusive to men, but I know that isn't realistic."
Elsewhere in today's Names & Faces, an anonymous bidder has agreed to pay $4.6 million for the crypt above Marilyn Monroe in a Los Angeles cemetery. Alec Baldwin is not planning a 2012 bid against Sen. Joe Lieberman. And Mary Louise Parker spent some time in Annapolis this weekend.
Elsewhere in Style: Ashley Surdin reports from L.A. on the investigation into Michael Jackson's death. Blake Gopnik takes us inside artist Jim Sanborn's Frankenstein-esque studio in Maryland. David Montgomery tells the tale of a local family uncovering the history of their ancestors, who were slaves working in James Madison's White House. And Tom Shales' new weekly column examines Conan O'Brien's transition to "The Tonight Show."
