Read This: Carmelo Anthony, Chris Brown, Jim Traficant

What you missed in this weekend's paper while The Reliable Source was gone: Carmelo Anthony of the Denver Nuggets hung out at Madams Organ with the singer of the night, Midian; discussed Old Testament, according to Aaron Leitko in Names and Faces. Our new pop music critic Chris Richards listens to the new Jay-Z album, thinks he sounds like a cranky old man, and wonders if hip-hop can age gracefully. Chris Brown talks back to Oprah, which never ends well. And our colleague Mary Jordan goes to the get-out-of-jail party for Jim Traficant and suspects that he may still have "a little of the old magic under that memorable rug."

Chris Brown will do or say anything to see his star rise again. I think we set a bad example as a society if he's allowed to show little remorse and responsibility for it and regain his fame.
Has anyone seen the Rihanna Amber Alert? Wow.
