Political kid Cate Edwards is settling into D.C. -- and a new job -- a year after buying a Georgetown rowhouse.

We reported last fall on her purchase, a $1.3 million two-bedroom fixer-upper (a trust and an inheritance made it possible). But at the time, the daughter of John and Elizabeth Edwards was still a third-year Harvard Law student. Now that the 27-year-old has graduated, she's finally making full-time use of the Georgetown place: She's clerking at the federal court in Alexandria, we've learned.
