This Just In . . .

  • Kanye West finally apologized to Taylor Swift directly on Tuesday-- two days after he interrupted her acceptance speech at the VMA ceremony. "Kanye did call me, and he was very sincere in his apology, and I accepted that apology," the country singer told ABC News Radio, saying she believes that's the end of it.

  • Carol Joynt's Q&A Cafe has a new home. After eight years at her now-closed Nathans, Joynt will do her celebrity interviews at the Ritz-Carlton in Georgetown, beginning with actress Ali Wentworth next month.

  • Ex-Redskins cheerleader Christy Cooley -- the smokin' young wife of player Chris Cooley -- is one of the stars of the upcoming "True Hollywood Story: Football Wives" on the E! network. Cameras will follow her around D.C. all week; the show airs in November.

Oh, please, Carol Joynt could (and has done) do better on both counts. The Ritz is too elitist and Ali Wentworth is too boring and contrived. Who'll ask Ali how she deals with her husband's sublimated "tendencies"? Or, is it true what they say about really short men?
