This Just In . . .

Garth Brooks (AP Photo/Mark Humphrey)

  • Garth Brooks is coming out of retirement with 15 performances at Wynn Resorts' Encore theater in Las Vegas, he announced Thursday. The country singer, 47, is the top-selling solo artist in American music history; retired in 2000 to spend more time with his wife, country star Trisha Yearwood, and his three kids from a previous marriage.

  • More celeb Twitter woes: After posting an inadvertently risque photo (lots of boobage) of herself Wednesday, Meghan McCain says she won't quit the microblogging site, despite all the flak she got for the revealing pix. "What once was fun now just seems like a vessel for harassment," the Daily Beast columnist tweeted after the flap. McCain deleted the photo, apologized if anyone had been offended by her "huge mistake" -- and said she'll be more careful in the future.
